Cottage Just 2 Blocks to Beach and Town

Home in residential area with all but one bedroom on main floor. Built in 1940 with original kitchen but fully updated bathroom and spacious main areas and bedrooms. Don’t forget fantastic front porch and fenced in backyard.

Had to call owner to have access. This happened last year also. Code was not set. The outlet in the only bathroom did not work. It did not work last year either. The air conditioning cools off the front bedroom and some of the living area. The dining room, kitchen and other areas of the house can get really hot in hot weather. Other than these issues we love staying in this cabin. It’s beautiful, clean and very convenient to town

Quiet Weekend in East Tawas

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. Located in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood and just two blocks from the main downtown area, this cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Hosts were quick to respond to messages prior to our arrival. No issues. Definitely would stay here again!

Spring Stay

Perfect combination of vintage and modern decor in this spacious, light bungalow in a quiet neighborhood close to the cute shopping district and lakeshore. We enjoyed easy access to the bike trail to the state park and Alabaster as well as the lightly travelled streets for exploring the town. We had everything we needed and more, including a bouquet of fresh flowers and a basket of yummy snacks.

Our first trip in nearly 2 years and it was great. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the shops, restaurants, and the lake. Furniture and beds were comfortable and the yard was fenced in for our two dogs. We would gladly stay again in the future.

Spacious Home

Nice location, big kitchen, dinning area. Large living room space. Beautiful front porch. Downstairs bedrooms are good size. Upstairs bedroom is large with a low ceiling and no curtains on the windows. Backyard is great with lots of activities available for use. Comfortable furniture. Nice back porch with washing machine and dryer. Plenty of parking.

Perfect house. Perfect location.

We enjoyed our stay and wished we could’ve stayed a week longer. Walk to everything. The house had plenty of amenities. Coffee on the porch was the best way to start the morning. The window ac had a little trouble keeping the whole house cool to our liking, but overall, we had an excellent stay. The host was very responsive and quick. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved our second stay at this house

This home is so spacious and perfect for our annual family reunion. Everything is up to date and the house is well stocked. This time, we noticed the brand new large fridge/freezer which was a great addition.

As expected

Cute, older little house. Perfect for a quick weekend trip. Only a block from town which offers shopping, and restaurants. Close to pier and beach. Great option if you don’t mind not staying on the lake. Enjoyed the campfire and laundry provided. Downsides: small fridge, no propane for grill, narrow driveway due to trees, and upstairs is extremely hot (unit could not keep bedroom cold).

Felt like home

We loved our stay here this summer. The house was very clean and cozy. My kids said it felt like home. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the screened in porch and backyard. Best part was the location, we could easily walk to the beach and downtown East Tawas!

The perfect Tawas rental!

This house has so much space- the pictures don't do it justice! Two of the rooms are giant and one is regular sized. The owner responded quickly to any questions I had. Very open space with everything that we needed. Fun yard games. Close to everything. I will rent this house again.

My 2 girlfriends and I stayed here for two nights. Super cute and clean house. Plenty of space for three of us. Love the screened in porch in the front. Perfect location to downtown and Lake Huron. Would definitely stay here again with my family or friends

Fun For Everyone

Terrie is the best. She is so nice and flexible. We love staying at her cozy cute house. This is a return stay for us and we love it. The home is decorated cute and has plenty of space. It is so clean. There is coffee and snacks upon arrival which really helped us as our adult children were hungry upon arrival. The beds are comfy and the rooms are all so spacious. There are fun yard games available which our kids played and even a fire pit with some wood included for that backyard slowdown by a fire. The location is perfect. Since we are a family with adult kids, we wake at different times. Being a walk to town the boys went to breakfast later, some walked the pier, while my husband and I were early birds and rose and went to town at a different time. This location allows happy independence for everyone. Thanks Terrie! We had a wonderful summer holiday together.

Adventurous weekend

We had a lovely time over all but a terrible storm blew through and knocked out the electricity. Terrie moved us over to her other house where we set up Farley quickly. With the quick leaving we were unable to clean up our dinner and feel terrible about it! Thank you for everything!

Adorable spot to relax! Clean and comfortable. Lots of room to unwind. Loved the backyard bonfire pit with wood provided. Easy stroll to downtown restuarants and beach. Loved it. I will be booking again.

Gem in East Tawas

Terrie is an awesome host. Checking in and out was convenient and allowed flexibility. The property is so cute and very clean. The King sized bed is very comfortable and that was important to us. We like outdoor tubing and boating and feel a comfortable night’s sleep is essential. I slept very well. The house is spacious and we appreciated that as well. The walk to town was so nice. Everyone went to breakfast at a different time and it was easy to get to town and back. Thanks Terrie for an awesome stay. We will be back next year.
