The Lavender Cottage is located adjacent to our lavender fields.
Experience a working lavender farm and the opportunity to wander through regenerating bush tracks and lavender (in season). Wake up and go to sleep with the sounds of morning and evening bird calls. Most of all, take some time to slow down, relax, and breathe deeply….
Overlooking Akaroa harbour, our purpose-built cottage makes the most of stunning views. It is a mere fifteen minutes to Akaroa, five minutes to Akaroa golf course, and 10 minutes to French Farm Estate.

Originally a hay barn, the fully rebuilt cottage features macrocarpa timber milled from the property. Fully featured, the cottage has an extensive kitchen and espresso machine. The cottage has cell reception, Fibre, Wi-Fi, and Chromecast.

Visitors are encouraged to explore many of the tracks (either walking or mountain biking) that traverse lavender fields, macrocarpa plantations, conservation land, and open pastures.

The outdoor hot tub at Kūkupa Matairangi is open for soaking subject to availability. This is a fantastic opportunity to sit back and relax, gazing over Akaroa Harbour. Contact us for more details.
