Aviation enthusiasts will love the local Aviation Museum, packed with fascinating exhibits and restored aircraft. The striking, triangular-shaped Caerlaverock Castle (10 miles) is a must-visit, with its moat, towers, and fascinating history. Nearby, the Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve is a haven for birdwatchers and those seeking wide-open landscapes. Head to Mabie Farm Park and Forest (11 miles), where families can enjoy walking and cycling.
