ABOUT US
Located only five kilometers from the center of Dubrovnik and 20 kilometers from the airport, this delightful property was built to an exceptionally high standard. It stands proudly in the fjord-like valley of Rijeka Dubrovačka, in close vicinity of the source of the Ombla river. Rich in Mediterranean vegetation and clean waters, this area used to be an exclusive location for the summer residences of the Dubrovnik aristocrats at the time of the Republic of Dubrovnik. That is why we have decided to name our apartment Dubrovnik "Vimbula". The name derives from “Palazzi di Delizie” (Palaces of Pleasure), as they used to call the area, while “Vimbula” was the Roman name for the river Ombla.
LOCATION
The views from the property of the source of the Ombla, the sea, and the mountain are breathtaking. The surroundings of our apartment are peaceful and quiet, providing you with the perfect holidaying atmosphere and privacy. Indeed, even today the scenery around our apartment looks almost magical. At the source of the river, you will see waterfalls with hues of blue and green, sparkling in the warm Mediterranean sun, and surrounded by lush vegetation. There are birds chirping, ducks swimming around with their ducklings, and elegant swans gliding on the water surface…
Nearby are ACI marinas (yachting) , several shops, restaurants, pubs or cafes.
PARKING AND MOVING THE CITY
If you come by car or motor, you have a parking space in front of the apartment entrance.
The city center of Dubrovnik and Stradun are about 5 km away.
The local bus station is a 5-minute walk from the apartments with bus lines every 15-20 minutes.
Driving by bus to the old town takes 15 minutes.
Every bus drives to the old town (last station the old town).
You are also offered Uber, Taxi as a transport service.
