Shackup A-frame— Private Hot Tub & Beach Access

This vintage inspired Aframe sits on its own private lot with huge ocean views, beautiful private hot tub and luxury interior finishes. Sip cocktails in front of the iconic fireplace, soak away the day in the private cedar hot tub, groove to the curated record collection, tuck yourself into the feather bed at night.

Located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. One of the most visited areas in Nova Scotia for tourists and locals alike.

The aframe enjoys amazing ocean views and deeded beach access via the pebble beach just down the driveway.

It is near lots of nice amenities, such as great beaches, hikes, cafes, restaurants, winery, fishing villages and 25 minutes to the charming Unesco World Heritage town of Lunenburg.

It is an incredibly private and beautiful property.

It makes a stunning location for romantic, or family getaways year round.

The A-frame is the culmination of 18 months of building work and years of imagination. It is open year round, pet friendly and offers one night stays or longer.

Offering the following amenities for your enjoyment:.

Hot Tub: The private hot tub is made of natural cedar, with big views of the ocean. It is electrically heated and will be hot and ready for you on arrival. Jump right in.

Fireplace: the 1960's fireplace is wood burning and a fire will be built and ready for you to spark up when you wish. It creates great ambiance and can be seen from the kitchen, eating nook and living room

Kitchen: the kitchen is well stocked with sharp knives, full pots and pans, fun vintage cookware and table ware as well as everything you need to shuck oysters, crack open lobsters, mix up cocktails, drink wine, scoop out ice cream, create a charcuterie board and more. The stove is a high end gas range and an outside charcoal bbq is provided for the warmer months.

Coffee: we supply Local coffee as well as a French press and stove top espresso pot. There is also sugar cubes and tea available.

Bathroom: the bathroom has a beautiful walk in shower, a very large soaking tub and all the extra's you need to pamper yourself. It's glamourous.

Bedroom: the bedroom is a loft style, opening up to a private roof top deck. The queen mattress sits on a vintage teak bed and is adorned with high end linens, feather duvet and feather pillows. Sink right in.

Temperature control: the Aframe is built to be comfortable year round, with in-floor heat, large opening doors and windows and a heat pump offering AC and auxiliary heating.

Entertainment: we offer a curated record collection, blue tooth speaker, board games and coffee table books and wifi... plus the hot tub, views, and fireplace. You'll have lots to enjoy!

This place is custom built to be a totally private glamorous getaway. You will have access to the entire property and everything in it is curated for your holiday.

We provide self check in. We’re available if you need us but we will leave you lots of privacy if you don’t need us. The place is all yours.

Laundry and supplies are dropped to the rear part of the Aframe's wood shed located in Aframe's driveway on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A Shackup staff member will be in the driveway for approximately 10 minutes during this time. They will leave you in complete privacy and won't disturb you in the Aframe.

The grass is mowed on Mondays during the summer. A mowing company will come and be approximately 15 minutes to mow the grass

Snow is plowed and shovelled when needed.

The Aframe sits up a private road in the community of Dublin Shore. It is a beautiful area close to beaches, the ocean, cafes, a vineyard, farmer market, fishing wharfs

Most people use the car to get around. Although biking is also very popular in the area. You could rent bikes from lunenburg Bay shop if you wanted to. Or bring your own!

We are open to welcoming one dog to the place. The dog must be well trained, can not go on the furniture or the bed and you must pick up after your dog, even in the woods outside the Aframe. The dog cannot be left alone in the property unless crated. The dog can not go in the bathtub or hot tub. Please contact us if you'd like to bring your dog on the trip with you.

The BBQ is only available in the summer season.

The lawn is cut by a lawn service on mondays in the warm months. They take about 20 minutes and won't bother you.
