Our ranch sits on a beautiful ridge over looking 51 acres of natural majestic trees such as Oaks, Pecans, mesquite and many more. We are a working cattle ranch surround by our unique Heritage Breed of The Belted Galloway. Enjoy a scenic walk on our pasture, say hello to our free range chickens, rabbits, & our friendly working cat & dog, JD and Austin. Or sit & swing on our porch & enjoy all the quiet at the Obregon's Cattle Ranch. Follow us on IG - Life_ontheridge to see what we are up to!
The space
Our home has an attached guests quarters/apartment (520 sqft) with its own private entrance. Located conveniently close to the main house for any questions or concern or assistance. The private entrance provides privacy that allows you to come and go as you please. The space is perfect for corporate individual working away from home, or family that wants a comfortable place to stay without having to deal with crowds and hotels. And especially quaint for a couple retreat to just get away and enjoy the quiet natural surrounding.
Our property is not far from town where all the convenient stores are located. Yet very private and secluded with no one in sight except when the two of us are working with our animals.
Special Note!! As of 06-01-2020
We are happy to announce we have brought on line, our new high speed fiber optic internet service to the ranch.
Currently it is operating at 50 Mbps download and upload with no additional fees.
With the current Pandemic situation , if you are needing a higher bandwidth to take advantage of the current Work at Home arrangement and extent your peaceful stay at the ranch we can make arrangements to increase the bandwidth up to 100 Mbps download at $5.00 a day charge for each day of your stay.
We can also provide bandwidth up to 500 Mbps download for those who need it for gaming or CAD work. That charge will be $10.00 a day.
These arrangements need to be made ahead of time to ensure the system is online on the day of your arrival.
Please reach out to us if this is something that you might be interested in during your stay.
Guest access
Guests have a private entrance to their entire suite, which includes private kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities, bedroom, living room, a second loft bedroom and a covered parking space. Guests are also welcome to walk and explore the property at their own discretion. We recommend to bring proper walking shoes if you choose to enjoy the nature. Flip flop sandals are not recommended.
There is a family basketball hoop conveniently located near the house, guests are welcome to play a few friendly games too :) (Bring your only basketball)
Front porch/yard includes swing bench and lounge chairs. Guests been known to sit on the front porch to enjoy the wild flowers, and the many birds that share our bird bath.
There are few other outdoor seating areas on the property. Guests are welcome to walk around and pick a space to enjoy.
Guest are also welcome to bring their fold out camping chairs and find their own private spot/space on our property to enjoy their quiet time.
If you plan to barbecue or spend time outdoor please bring the needed item. We do not provide the following.
a) BBQ charcoal,bbq charcoal starter, matches
b) Barbecue cooking utensils
b) Paper plates, disposable cups
c) Wood for the fire pit
d) Additional out door chair like camping folded out chair.
Other things to note
1. Apart from being a Ranch lifestyle Airbnb, we are also a Licensed beef cattle working ranch. Many of our guests are excited to find out they could purchase and enjoy our heritage breed pasture raised beef for their barbecuing experience. Nothing beats barbecuing your steak from the ranch in the outdoor setting and enjoying that delicious meat right here on the ranch!! Checkout our website ocrgrassfed com to place your order and we will have your meat ready and placed in your refrigerator in you private suite.
2. And as an additional plus for our Airbnb guests, we are also known for our Amazing desserts especially our delicious homemade warm brownies. All treats are baked fresh when ordered. So feel free to browse thru 5twentytwobrownies com and order something yummy to be delivered to your private suite. :)
3. The ladder stair in your suite leads to an open loft area where the 2nd bedroom is located. This sleeping area is for Adults and children age 12 or older. This loft area is a low vaulted ceiling attic (such as you would see in a Tiny House design) with little head room. This space is suitable for grown youth that are capable to mind the low ceiling & responsible in climbing the stairs in a safe manner.
