Step into Olive Cottage, where timeless charm meets modern comfort. This beautifully preserved 1930s home welcomes you with high ceilings and elegant decor. The open plan living area is both inviting and functional, featuring a cozy gas fireplace and a 55-inch Smart TV for your entertainment. The kitchen is a chef's delight, equipped with a Westinghouse oven, gas stove, and a Nespresso coffee machine, perfect for crafting your morning brew. Retreat to the serene bedrooms, each offering split system air conditioning and ceiling fans to ensure your comfort year-round.

Olive Cottage is more than just a place to stay—it's a charming retreat close to the heart of the city, with shops, cafes, and a picturesque backyard complete with fruiting olive trees.

THE LOCATION
Dubbo gracefully balances its rich heritage with a dynamic fusion of historical charm, contemporary cultural vibrancy, and innovative culinary experiences, offering visitors an enchanting and ever-evolving regional city experience (3 mins to the Dubbo CBD).

Dubbo's coffee scene is enhanced with The Harvest (900m) and You Galah (750m), where every cup is a celebration of rich aromas and finely crafted brews. Offering a new level of comfort and sanctuary with mouth-watering dishes and a large playground & family cabanas to watch the kids play close by, late dinners are made easy at the South Dubbo Tavern (3 mins).

Spend the day at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (11 mins), the perfect family outing to get up close and personal with some of the world's most rarest animals through encounters, zookeeper talks, and tours. Don't forget to bring your swimmers as the children will adore the waterpark whilst the parents sit close nearby at the Zoo Cafe & Bar! Venture over to the Dubbo Botanic Gardens and admire the stunning traditional Shoyoen Japanese Garden and treat the kids to a visit to the adventure playground (6 mins).

Fireplace/Firepit: This property has a fireplace/firepit that you are more than welcome to use if you wish. Instructions are provided in the Welcome Book in the home and also in your check in details closer to your arrival. Firewood is not provided, however, there are several local providers or you can message us ahead of time and we can help you organise to have some available when you arrive.

Pet friendly, Bonty & Bella loved the big backyard, it was tidy safe and plenty of room for them to run, usually they are with us100% of the time but we felt if was safe to leave them there whilst we were at Dubbo Zoo. The house was clean and cosy, we appreciated the claen linen and bath sheets, was just like home. The only down side is the bathroom, although the water is hot, the shower has no pressure, and the tastic heater & exhuast fan didn't work at the same time, so we opted for the heaters which meant the room steamed up. The shower screen is too small water goes everywhere, would be better to remove it and get a shower curtain. We also couldn't contact the manager when we were stuck outside from about 6am to 8.20am, not sure it is was because it was early? We were finally able to get back inside when we worked out the to open the sliding doors from outside. Thank you for our stay, the shower is the only negative.

I caught a rash I believe came from potentially using cheap bulk laundry washing detergent for the bed linen. I ended up seeing a doctor. Also, the bathroom floor was dirty.

Absolutely loved my 3 nught stay. My first impression on arrival was how clean neat and tidy the cottage was. I stayed 3 nights and felt very comfy and cosy. I booked the cottage so I could take my dog: he didnt end up coming with me but the backyard was huge. Good communication about check in / check out. Big confy bed and pillows. Highly recommended

Long Weekend for Rugby State Champs

We loved Olive Cottage. We wish we had more time to enjoy the coziness of the home and the fire pit. Beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed. The house was stocked with all facilities to take stress away. The house was extremely clean. Communication when booking was prompt and friendly. We had team dinners in town and used the convenience of the courtesy buses from some of the pubs/clubs. Only. 3 to 5 minute drive to town and we were 15 minutes walking distance to Apex Oval for the rugby. The IGA and pharmacy at the top of the road topped off the convenience of this stay. Thank you very much. We would not hesitate in booking Olive Cottage again :)
