Was overall very satisfied with the property. The location was great. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the hot tub. It took forever to heat up, so if you are wanting to use it in the evening, make sure you turn it on in the morning.
Clean place to stay close to Estes with nice view off deck. Only issue was it was hot that day and night didnât cool off. No air conditioner and only 2 of the 3 floor fans provided worked. Would have been great stay if air conditioning was available.
Great stay!Lovely location right on the river. Daily elk visitors were amazing. Property was as advertised and clean. Location is right next to the highway but the sound of the river made this less noticeable. Back deck on the river is very calming. Owner communication was prompt. There are some things to know before you go. We rent VRBOâs for two main reasons: to be able to cook our own meals and have our fur babies with us. - The kitchen: only includes the bare minimum. One fork, one pan, no large bowls, no larger knives, no filters for the coffee maker, not stocked with essentials like foil or simple spices. If you plan on cooking, bring what you need or you will have to be very creative- Furniture: Outside chairs are there but falling apart. Inside couch and chairs not comfortable. We used the pillows from the couch to make sitting outside or at the kitchen table more comfortable- Water: has a strange taste. We bought water for our cooking and consumption needs. - Cleaning supplies: all that is there is dish soap. Nothing to really clean with. No sponge/scrubber, sink cleaner, vacuum, etc. - Internet: very weak- TV: itâs all streaming so almost impossible to watch- Crazy neighbor across the river: she spends a lot of the day staring and swearing loudly at you if you are outside. All in all, it was a good stay. Just a little less relaxing with some of the challenges.
We really enjoyed the hottub on the deck after driving all day. Thought the place was easy to find and was very clean. Cute rooms, perfect size for 2 of us and a dog. By far, though, the best feature was the great access to the beautiful creek in back. The only hiccup was out of the owner's control and that was a loud neighhbor. We would definitely come back .
Our stay at your cabin was not a comfortable time. With the current times it's hard to save money and get time off to take a vacation and relax from the everyday hustle and bustle of our lives.First of all, we didn't have two full days having to arrive at 4 pm and depart at 11am.Upon arrival we found the cabin hadnt been cleaned, wads of hair in bathroom shower & elsewhere. The jacuzzi water was dirty & cloudy. Old outdated bedding & mattress, with trash underneath it, my husband got bedbug bites. Partial lighting throughout cabin, no outdoor front light, glad we brought our flashlights! The smoke alarm kept going off during the night screaming FIRE! No latch for safety on back sliding door. Dirty bath towels. Few extremely outdated kitchen cooking pans & few super flimsy utensils. Lastly, The permanent neighbors across the river appear to be severely mentally challenged. They began yelling and screaming profanities every time we would go out to the deck to do anything, a very weird and uncomfortable situation.Because of these unacceptable disappointing experiences, we requested a refund for our stay and the rude owners scoffed and got angry at my husband. The pleasant description that is listed on your website is incorrect and misleading, far from what we experienced. I'd send some of the photos we took while there but they won't load. (We didnt get to take photos of the troubles, except the bedbug bites, bc my husband cleaned up before I even thought to take them.)
It was a cute place and clean but it could use some things in the kitchen like filters for the coffee pot, maybe some foil, salt and pepper. But overall a cute place for a quick stay and it was easy to find and the communication with the host was easy and quick responses.
Cute small old motel at one time possibly. Has a leaky faucet in kitchen and mattress needs replacing. Nice and quiet even though it was on highway. Beautiful creek in back. Hard to find at first didn't know it was called Cole's .Riverside
The canyon river cabin was right on the road outside of Estes Park. It had cute rustic decorations, a full kitchen and a great porch to enjoy right by the river. Perfect for our evening after Rocky Mountain National Park.
Quiet, peaceful beautiful place to stay.
I loved staying in the river and listening to it during the night.
The cabin was very neat and clean.
I also like the fact it was out of town a little bit got away from the crowded areas.
We would go back and stay there again.
Lovely cabin right on the river. For the price, though, we were disappointed by:
not enough gas in grill to cook hot dogs
only two forks in the kitchen?
no "one pager" explaining how to access wifi, TV or cooling fans
no extra blanket for cool evening temps
We are from Greeley and just came up for the night. We went downtown Estes for dinner then came back to the room. We sat in the hot tub under a completely clear sky! We could see every star! The sound of the river is very calming.
We did contact the owner. He got back to us in a matter of minutes! Very easy process and a great night away. We will be back!
Property was nice, clean, and convenient. There is no backyard access from the back exit. You have to walk around the property to get to the water. The deck furniture is outdated and needs to be replaced. There are other properties on the other side of the waterway, so there is no privacy on the back deck, as you are also directly next to your neighbors. The back does not lock securely, so do not bring anything valuable with you that you cannot take in your vehicle when you come and go. Property owner was easy to get a hold of and communicative.
