Welcome to Douglas Cottage

Walk in feeling refreshed at this beautifully decorated cottage in the center of Douglas, Michigan. The new vacation home has so much to offer, three bedrooms, a large yard, great location, and the bonus of being practically neighbors with Farmhouse Deli. This home will leave you feeling relaxed as you discover the beauty both inside and outside of this home.

INSIDE THE HOME
This single story home will leave you breathless from the moment you arrive. Walk into this freshly designed home with an ample amount of natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your basic needs, dining for 4 with 3 bar stools at the breakfast bar, a spacious living room, three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. Settle in for the night by cozying up next to the electronic fireplace and turning on your favorite movie. Wake up and enjoy fresh air with your morning coffee by sitting out on the screened in porch that is attached to the Primary Suite.

OUTDOOR SPACE
Enjoy the outdoors on either side of the home. Walk out of the living room and be greeted with a fenced in yard that offers a firepit big enough to fit 6 around. On the other side of the home, there is a perfect screened in porch overseeing the large backyard with enough room for plenty of activities.

THE LOCATION
Right in the smack dab middle of Douglas, Michigan. Roughly a 10 minute walk to downtown Douglas or about half a mile. You are also within a walkable distance to Douglas Beach, 1 mile away. Downtown Saugatuck is 1.5 miles away. Directly next door are Pizza Mambo and Farm House Deli. This home has so much to offer within a 2 mile radius.

This cottage was exactly as photographed and described and was the perfect place to stay for a girls weekend getaway in Saugatuck! Check in and out instructions were described in detail and made it a breeze to get in and out without issue.

Great property and location

We met friends here for a long weekend stay and loved the location of this property. Douglas was quieter than Saugatuck and we could walk to a great deli, coffee shops, grocery, restaurants, and Douglas Beach. We enjoyed a night in with the grill and fire pit, too. The house was very clean and comfortable for our party of 4. I would stay here again!

Beautiful cottage

We stayed here for a family wedding and my only regret is that we didn’t have more time to enjoy the property. Very cute cottage with comfortable beds and lots of places to lounge.

We had the best time staying in this lovely cottage. Beautiful decor and homey feeling. Great location and close to downtown Saugatuck. Would highly recommend this cottage and plan to book it on our next girls trip to Michigan.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time, such a convenient location, close to farmhouse, the root beer barrel, and the beach. We spent the weekend all over Saugatuck and Douglas and loved coming back to the fenced yard and screened porch at night. A really great house. Thanks for being such great hosts!

Amazing Michigan Cottage!

Our stay at Douglas Cottage was the perfect location for our Memorial Day weekend getaway! The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had a great location for outings to downtown areas of Douglas and Saugatuck and Oval Beach. It was well-furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed the firepit and patio each evening and the frequent sightings of deer, turkeys and bluejays. The whole family would highly recommend!

Perfect for the parade!

This is the second year in a row we’ve rented this house for the Douglas Halloween Parade. It’s in a perfect location, and we love the house itself. We plan to reserve it again for next year!

Excellent getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Douglas Cottage. The place was very nice and just as expected. The location was close to the beach, a nice coffee place, running trail and some really nice cafes. The home was spacious and very clean with many updates. I would definitely stay here again.
