Nestled within the enchanting town of Dornoch, 3 Mackay Road is surrounded by rich history and breathtaking landscapes. Dornoch beckons you to immerse yourself in serenity, creating an ideal setting for those seeking a genuine Scottish adventure.
A mere 10-minute drive from 3 Mackay Road lies the iconic Glenmorangie Distillery. Whisky enthusiasts can revel in fascinating tastings, savouring the unique flavours of this globally acclaimed Scottish spirit.
For golf lovers, staying at 3 Mackay Road will mean that you are only a 15-minute walk from the comfort of your bed to the first tee at the Royal Dornoch. The Royal Dornoch is known for its Championship Course which offers a magnificent challenge featuring stunning coastal vistas, however, the lesser-known Struie Course is also a must-play throughout your stay. Playing a round of golf here not only hones your skills but also provides a chance to embrace the natural splendour that defines Dornoch.
3 Mackay Roads ideal location serves as an excellent base for exploring the local shops. From distinctive boutiques to traditional Scottish craft stores, guests can indulge in a delightful shopping experience, discovering treasures that reflect the town's cultural vibrancy.

3 Mackay Road is located just outside the centre of Dornoch making it the ideal place for someone to stay if using the public bus or private hire taxis upon arrival or departure as there is a Stagecoach bus stop no more than a 5 minute walk from the front door. The property is also very well lit at night due to the surrounding street lights.
3 Mackay Road does have two allocated parking spots to the rear of the property which are signposted for your convenience. When driving to the property, you will find the spots on Munro Street which is just before the bend on Mackay Road. The allocated parking spots will be on your left hand side.
Parking in other signposted parking spots belonging to neighbouring properties, or on the street (unless just for dropping off luggage) is strictly prohibited.
3 Mackay Road features an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area which has been stylishly finished with comfortable furnishing creating a warm and welcoming space, ideal for relaxation. The living area hosts a large smart TV, which has access to apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime (your own login details may be required), as well as Sky Sports packages through the Now TV app. Freeview channels can not be guaranteed and some apps will require guest accounts. For those working remotely, the breakfast bar or dining table can double as a dedicated workspace to ensure productivity and comfort.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all essential cooking amenities, so you should have everything you need if you are looking to cook throughout your stay. The kitchen also has a high-quality Siemens bean-to-cup coffee machine for your morning brew, which can be enjoyed at the breakfast bar. Coffee beans can be purchased from a large number of stores throughout Dornoch.
Inside the bedrooms there are zip'n'link beds which can be arranged as either a double or twin room, catering to your specific needs. The standard set-up is a super-king bed in the master bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms offer cupboard space for storing your belonging, and the master bedroom hosts an en-suite shower room.
As well as the en-suite shower room, there is also a main family bathroom on the first floor with a shower over bath, and a small WC/utility room on the ground floor for convenience.
There are two designated parking spots at the rear of the property for your use.
With Dornochâs charming shops, bars, and restaurants all within walking distance, you'll have everything you need at your doorstep. The renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Course and beautiful beach are just a few minutes' walk away, offering world-class golfing and scenic coastal strolls.
When travelling to 3 Mackay Road, we highly recommend researching your public transport routes or ensuring that guests have access to a car.
Unfortunately, Dornoch does not have access to apps such as Lyft or Uber, and our only modes of public transport are Bus (Stagecoach) and the occasional private hire Taxi company.
Dornoch does not have a train station (Scotrail), and the nearest station is in Tain.
