Mountain Adventure Base Near Lake Cascade

Welcome to Terrapin Station – for those who’d rather chase first chair, last light, and a good soak under the stars than hang out in a lobby. This rare 1BR/2BA corner townhome (4 guests max + 1 pup) sits in Tamarack Resort’s quiet Clearwater neighborhood with true SKI IN/SKI OUT access to the Buttercup Chairlift. No shuttles. No parking-lot shuffle. Step out the door, snap in, and send it. Think: a touch of Grateful Dead funk, a lot of fresh air, and everything you actually need.

Tamarack Resort is a four-season destination 90 miles north of Boise; it's the perfect basecamp for your west central Idaho adventures, located between the recreation opportunities in Cascade and McCall or those further afield. Nestled on 3,500 acres with 2,800 feet of vertical and adjacent to Lake Cascade, it offers year-round recreation, including some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Idaho, Nordic and snowshoe trails, hiking, downhill and cross country mountain biking, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, and motorized and non-motorized water sports. Tamarack also offers a host of on-site dining and leisure activities, to include a spa, pickleball courts, and disc golf course. Be sure to check their schedule for hosted events and activities.

You'll have the entire home to yourself, including a fully-equipped kitchen, 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, private keyless entry, in-unit washer and dryer, covered patio, + private hot tub.

You'll also have access to the numerous amenities offered by Tamarack Resort; gas firepit at the Lodge at Osprey Meadows, pickleball courts, disc golf, and resort cross-country hiking/biking trails. This property doesn't have access to the Lodge fitness center, pool, or hot tub, but don't worry--the mountain is your gym, Lake Cascade is the perfect place to take a dip, and you've got your own private hot tub at the house!

Terrapin Station is the perfect bungalow for couples, solos, and small crews who’d rather be outside than standing in a condo elevator line. With only a few 1BR townhomes available in Tamarack Resort, it's the ideal option for guests looking for more privacy, more quiet, and a vibe that's more “your own place":

• This spot is for people who want out-the-door access to the mountain more than they want a buzzy village scene right underneath them.

• 2 guest parking spots next to the home (first-come, first-served)
• Oversized vehicles/boats: parking permits may be available from Tamarack Outfitters for their oversized lot – call ahead to confirm and reserve

RECOMMENDATIONS:
*If you're flying into Boise International Airport, we recommend renting a vehicle directly from the airport.

*It's possible to get an Uber from Boise/BOI to Tamarack Resort, although it's not necessarily a reliable mode of travel; depending on your arrival time and season, you may have difficulty finding a driver who will accept your ride. Uber is not currently accepting advance reservations for trips to Tamarack Resort from Boise; on-demand rides will be your only option.

*If you're traveling in winter or you plan to enjoy the many off-roading adventures available in Valley County, we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle.

SUMMER CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
Our mountain town has a short summer season, which means a compressed window for construction. New homes and road work happen quickly between June and September. While we update listings when we're aware of neighboring projects, we don't always have advance notice. If you're booking during warm weather months, it's safe to assume some construction activity may be happening nearby. We have no control over neighboring sites or noise, and unfortunately cannot provide refunds due to construction. That said, we're always here—reach out with questions, concerns, or noise complaints and we'll do what we can to help.

We don't make exceptions to the cancellation policy agreed to at booking—this maintains fairness for all guests. Please review your reservation's cancellation terms carefully before finalizing. Great location right near the Buttercup lift. Our family of 4 stayed for a long weekend and while there is only 1 bedroom, we were comfortable with the space. The hot tub was the perfect temp and the pellet stove was easy to use and a cozy way to warm up. Well equipped kitchen. Would stay there again.

A beautiful, peaceful retreat surrounded by trees and wildflowers. And birdsong. Super comfy bed, immaculate bathrooms and kitchen, and THE BEST hot tub ever. Took a lovely hike up the mountain and through the woods, marveled at the immensity of some of the homes under construction, picked some flowers and had a great burger down at the resort.

It was a perfect cabin steps away from the Buttercup lift! It had the option to use the main lodge facilities but the best was our own private, pristine hot tub! Such a nice place! Would definitely stay there again!
