Escape on Lake is your small lake-town getaway in the heart of Detroit Lakes, MN. Remodeled in 2021, this 1915 built two bedroom, two bath home features an updated and spacious, fully supplied kitchen for cooking, large soaking tub for relaxing, beautifully tiled shower, central air and access to a full size washer and dryer on the main floor for guests throughout their stay. We are a dog/kid-friendly home and are walking distance to the Detroit Lakes city beach, boat access, hospital, hockey arena and many local restaurants/bars. It is perfect for a family getaway, Thomas Dambo troll hunter enthusiasts or a small gathering of friends.

KITCHEN:
Our kitchen is complete with seating for five and includes a dishwasher, microwave and electric range. We have an additional card table and chairs for you to use throughout the duration of your stay. We provide basic small appliances (crockpot, blender, toaster, keurig coffee maker, griddle) for you to use as well as basic cooking spices and oils. Complementary tea, coffee, cream and sugar is provided as well.

LIVING SPACE:
Our living area has a television, sofa couch and a trundle day bed complete with two twins for additional sleeping space. We provide board/card games, children's toys and books for guests to use during their stay. Guests are able to use their own streaming accounts on our televisions.

MAIN FLOOR BATHROOM:
The main floor bathroom is complete with a spacious large vanity, full size washer and dryer and beautifully tiled shower. Dryer pods and bounce sheets are provided for guests in addition to towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We also provide a blow dryer, disposable face wipes, tooth picks and q-tips for guests to use.

UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS:
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms complete with queen beds in each room. One bedroom is complete with a television and the second bedroom has space for a twin air mattress or pack and play (both provided). Black out curtains and shades are provided as well as a noise machine. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and additional heaters for your comfort during the cold and hot months to keep guests comfortable.

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM:
This beautiful updated bathroom features a large soaking tub to enjoy during your stay. Bath salts, kids body and hair wash, infant bath tub and towels are provided for guests to use.

OUTDOOR SPACE:
Our back patio is complete with an outdoor sectional, dining table and chairs for 6, propane grill and fire table, yard games, beach toys/chairs and more!

DOGS:
We are a dog-friendly short term rental and allow our guests to bring dogs for a small additional fee. We ask that guests read our rules on dogs prior to booking. We provide disposable waste bags for pets, treats and water bowls for dogs to enjoy during our stay.
