The Guest bedrooms have a Queen bed in one room and twin over twin bunkbeds in the other with the living room having a queen sleeper sofa! It's close to all of the best restaurants, attractions, and shopping. Sterling Shores is a gated community with a 4300 sq.ft. private lagoon pool, gulf front pool, commercial grill area, BBQ grills, picnic area, and exercise room, located on 9 acres of lush tropical landscaping and 240 ft of beach. Sterling Shores is a gated, 11 story complex in the heart of Destin. Boasting a 4300 sq.ft. private lagoon pool, gulf front pool, commercial grill area, BBQ grills, picnic area, and exercise room, located on 9 acres of lush tropical landscaping with 240 ft of beach. Be sure to take advantage of the new bike rack available for owner and guest use in the East Garage next to the ice machines. Beach service is available for guests to rent for an additional fee. You have to check out Sterling Shores vacation rentals for yourself!

The beach pool is heated from Nov-May, depending on temperatures. The lagoon pool is not heated.

Perfect location, great unit!

This was our first time to Destin and since we booked at the last minute, we didn't have as many options to choose from. Sterling Shores caught our eye because of its central location. We were not disappointed! The location was perfect - we walked to the beach really easily and so many restaurants and activities were five minutes away by car. The unit shows a little wear and tear (furniture has some stains on it, baseboards are chipped) but otherwise it was great. My kids loved the bunk beds. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Great location, could use more supplies/stocks

This location/property is great! We loved walking right out to two different pools and close to the beach. We had a great time. The condo itself was ok, but was low on things we were expecting to be stocked -- like coffee, dish detergent, laundry -- just starters to help us out before we possibly needed to buy more. There was no shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms, and the cooking pans were not great. Some lights and outdoor furniture felt like they needed repairs and general maintenance, but again, overall it was a great vacation and good time. Might just need some TLC.

The property was not as clean as it should have been. The furniture on the balcony was very dirty. The furniture in the living room was dated and old as well as the televisions. None of those were smart televisions. But overall I will would give it 3 stars.

Sterling Shores Destin

Will start with the positives… the Beach is beautiful… the location and beach access was great…the pools are nice, along with the little snack hut… the management team responded promptly when bathroom lightbulbs were needed, and when the deck door got stuck… Some not so positive points… the furniture was not clean and needs updating… the elevator was not always working… water was pouring from 5th floor on balcony and entrance sides in the next unit, and luckily we were home to report this… surprised there weren’t more beach store shops and restaurants (did enjoy “The Back Porch” restaurant a number of times!)… surprised at the number of Tall condominiums… In general we enjoyed our trip!!

Great. But!!

There are only 2 elevators for the whole building. During the whole week being there only 1 elevator worked. I don’t know what the occupancy was but on some occasions we had to wait up to 15 minutes to catch an elevator. Checking in and checking out it was pretty hard to find a luggage cart. Once in the unit everything was great except for the carpet in the master bedroom. The carpet was filthy. The people that worked for RealJoy was great and helpful. So In summary I would use Real Joy again but probably not stay at Sterling Shores again.
