Spéciaux de printemps! Piscine, porte d'entrée, 200 mÚtres à la plage, nouveau climatiseur

Bienvenue Ă  Destin, en Floride, avec du sable blanc comme du sucre et des eaux vert Ă©meraude! Nous avons une maison de ville de trois chambres, deux salles de bain et demi entiĂšrement meublĂ©e avec tous les appareils de cuisine, serviettes, draps, couvertures et mĂȘme des serviettes de plage! Vous pouvez vous garer juste Ă  votre porte (pas d'ascenseurs bondĂ©s ou de parkings pour faire glisser vos bagages!).

Il y a une piscine à environ 25 pieds de notre porte d'entrée et une autre plus prÚs de la plage. Juste une courte promenade sur le pont piéton sur le lac, puis à environ 150 mÚtres de la plage.

Il y a 3 chambres, une avec un lit queen et une salle de bain complÚte, la 2Úme chambre a un lit double et la 3Úme chambre a 2 lits jumeaux. Deux des chambres ont une télévision. La chambre familiale dispose d'une télévision avec lecteur DVD! Un tout nouveau canapé-lit gigogne et siÚge d'amour également dans la salle familiale pour s'allonger et regarder un film sur votre téléviseur!

Il y a aussi une buanderie au premier niveau pour votre usage afin que vous puissiez rentrer chez vous avec des vĂȘtements propres!

Il y a de nombreuses commoditĂ©s Ă  apprĂ©cier Ă  Southbay, deux courts de tennis Ă©clairĂ©s et deux grandes piscines (une chauffĂ©e, 2 piscines pour bĂ©bĂ©s Ă©galement). Bien sĂ»r, le lac d'eau douce de cinq acres dans lequel vous pouvez pĂȘcher juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© d'un belvĂ©dĂšre. Puis une courte promenade (5 minutes) jusqu'Ă  la plage privĂ©e sans rue Ă  traverser!

Il y aura des chaises de plage et un parasol Ă  votre disposition, ainsi que des serviettes de plage! Boogie boards et autres jouets de plage! Il y a un chariot pour ramener vos affaires Ă  la plage.

Southbay by the Gulf est situĂ© au cƓur de Destin. Il y a un immense centre commercial Ă  une dizaine de minutes! Il y a beaucoup de bons restaurants Ă  proximitĂ©! Si vous ĂȘtes golfeur, il y a plusieurs excellents parcours! Super Wal-Mart est Ă  moins de cinq minutes et vous avez une Ă©picerie juste en face!

Il y a plusieurs magasins et restaurants Ă  pied! Le parc aquatique Big Kahuna est un coin de rue de Southbay pour toute la famille! De nombreux terrains de golf miniatures, des karts et d'autres manĂšges pour le plaisir de vos enfants!

Venez séjourner dans cette belle maison de ville que vous pouvez conduire jusqu'à votre porte et ne pas avoir à jouer avec les ascenseurs bondés. Plages privées pour que vous n'ayez pas à combattre les plages publiques bondées!

We were in town from Dallas, TX for a long family getaway weekend at the beach. The location was great for family and pets, right next to a pool and not too far from the boardwalk to the beach. We had a couple of great family games of Pickleball and lots of food and stores within walking distance from the unit. Great location.

Good place to stay for a beach trip

Nice location with restaurants and stores in walking distance. Loved that the pool was right outside the door. The beach is a small walk but nothing ridiculous. Only bummer was that the beach connected to the property didnt allow any personal pop up tents or canopies. You could rent their chairs and tents but we usually have everything we need ourselves. Other than that we had no issues, the property itself was very clean and well maintained and would recommend to a friend.

Wonderful Stay

Great location for the price! The property listing is in NO way misleading. The walk to the beach is NOT that far. We traveled with 3 teenagers and a 5 and 4 year old. The littles never once complained about the walk even after hours at the beach. The bridge was actually the highlight of the walk because the kids were fascinated with all of the turtles! I do recommend to take advantage of the wagon provided as this will make your walk much more pleasant. The home was clean upon our arrival. Upstairs was hot but we anticipated that due to heat rising and it being mid day
.Easy fix
.shut the doors to the rooms, turn the air to desired temp and utilize fans if needed! Make sure the sliding glass door stays shut so the unit does not have to work harder. The pool was literally outside the door which was great for the younger kids. There is plenty of beach toys for kids if you don’t want to buy any and beach towels furnished. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again. We had a small unforeseen issue but Lynda had it fixed within an hour. If your looking for affordability and a great location this is the place for you. There are things that need to be updated in bathrooms and areas around the house so if your looking to rent a “perfect modernized home” for this price, this is NOT the place for you. If your looking for a quiet, clean and family oriented home look no further!

Not recommended

Poorly maintained. Tried to make the best of my stay. Had dull headache for 2 days, kitchen ceiling vent had BLACK MOLD on the outer edges of the vent, I am sensitive to mold. Called the owner she came and cleaned the black mold, she told me her husband would come the next day for additional cleaning, according to the owner her husband stopped by but no answer at door. Why her husband could not text, call or leave a note is beyond me. Furniture is dark wood, dusty upstairs and downstairs. Kitchen faucet leaks. Patio furniture dirty with leaves and dirt, concrete in poor condition. Owner lists fire extinguisher and smoke alarm on property it isn’t Living room couch uncomfortable, kitchen table seats uncomfortable. Other condos in the area are modern, cleaner and updated for a comfortable stay. Upstairs hot and difficult to sleep comfortably needs dehumidifier. Way overpriced, do not waste your time. Good stay

This property was good and very nice. We were just not is happy with how far the beach was based on the listing description. Also the gate code to the beach were not correct. Other then those two problems the place was great would definitely consider it again.

The condo was great. There were 8 of us that. stayed I n the condo and it was great to have the 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. We weren't that far from the ocean either. The rental agent, Linda was great.

The condo is in poor condition, furniture is very dated, floors, tub and shower dated, patio area cracked bench dirty needed to be cleaned or painted, table in patio old umbrella broken. Beach chairs limited and could not be used, had to pay $30.00 a day to go to the beach to rent chairs. Long walk to beach area. Paid way to much to stay at this condo. Air conditioning in upstairs not working well would not recommend this condo to anyone

Made the best of it

This is the second time our family has stayed in this unit and we were a little disappointed on the condition it is in. I hate to leave this type of review but feel people should be aware of the condition of the condo. The kitchen has very few pots and pans so bring your own. There are no serving bowls. Plenty of plates and bowls. The dishes were not very clean when we arrived. We found large roaches in the unit through out our stay so do not leave food out!!! When I let the management know I was told it was just a part of being in Florida. So don’t leave food out. They are mostly downstairs. The floors downstairs were not mopped prior to us getting in the unit. The unit was not thoroughly cleaned. The sofa and loveseat definitely need to be replaced. If you are counting on having someone sleep on it, bring an air mattress! Also the television downstairs has limited channels. The master bedroom has a bed that is very uncomfortable and the quilt is thread bare, bring a blanket. If you don’t plan on hanging out in the unit it’s a good place to stay due to the closeness to the beach, pool and shopping. The unit has a good washer and dryer and plenty of towels.

Just what we needed.

Good location. Nice size rooms. Sitting areas nice and open with room for gathering. Galley kitchen is a bit tight, but workable. Nothing fancy, quite outdated but we weren't looking for a showroom condo. Little stingy on paper products and trash bags. Could use some personal touches like directions to beach walkway, tissues, maps or brochures of area attractions. Back yard area had a lot of trash scattered around and AC drain made a continuous puddle. Overall it was adequate.

Place needs major updating

Place smelled musty, obvious water damage in ceiling, no knobs on kitchen cabinets. The pool was really dirty. Beach wasn’t far, but we had to ask several people how to get there, as there was very little signage. We did like the turtles in the lake. Would not stay here again or recommend, though.

Southbay by the Gulf is an older property. Pros are that it’s townhouses and you park at front door, no waiting on elevators. Unit #30 has a nice large pool directly outside of front door. All 3 upstairs bedrooms have TVs and plenty of closet space. It was nice having a half bathroom downstairs. The kitchen was adequate, fridge made plenty of ice, good dishwasher, nice having a full size washer and dryer. We used the wagon located inside patio closet to take our chairs and umbrellas to the beach. Cons - unit #30 needs updating. There was an issue with the hot water heater but the property manager sent someone right out to repair it. Needs a new couch! The winding walk to the beach takes about 6 minutes but you walk over a nice bridge where you can fish and we stopped to feed turtles with bread we brought. Units #129 thru #132 would be much closer to the beach. Even though there’s a “private” beach, most of the space is taken up by umbrellas and chairs to rent. There’s some open space at the west end and you need to get out early to claim a spot. There’s a Winn Dixie across the street. There’s a Mellow Mushroom, The Pancakery and an ice cream shop all on the same side and within walking distance of Southbay by the Gulf. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
