SouthBay by the Gulf is a gated, low-density townhome community located on the beautiful emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Pics are deceiving. They make the place look much bigger than it is. And nowhere did it say it was 2 story. My husband & I are 73 years old! All & all it was functional but not a short walk to the beach either.

We were contacted by the manager many times to make sure our stay was wonderful. It was great that the reservation included two beach chairs and wasn’t too far of a walk to the beach! The only complaint we have is it could be a little cleaner. Nothing overly gross just could use a deep clean.

Great vacation

Great little vacation home. The only thing I thought was different was the listing made it sound like it was one of the ones that had the Bach directly behind it. It was a five to ten minute walk which was fine was just hoping for on the beach.

We only had a 3 night short stay but had a great time. My husband had one incident he fell in the shower l, bathroom needs non slip mat/grips. Everything was clean thou and comfortable! We wouldn’t mind staying again :-)

Summer vacay

Overall our stay was great!. We just had a couple of minor issues but management took care of it quickly. The beach was walkable, but if you cannot walk a long way like me you can also park by the beach in the back of the complex which was very convenient. Loved that the free beach umbrella and chair service was available for us to use. We would definitely love to come back again!

Very comfortable and clean!

It was a little bit further from the beach than we initially thought but the walk was nice. Easily and comfortably accommodated my family of 9. Everything was clean and well maintained. Pool was a nice bonus! We will definitely be back to this spot!

Nicely Decorated Rental Home

The place we stayed was clean and nicely decorated. The walk to the beach was about 7 minutes which isn't that bad, but the description and the map shown on the website were not really accurate. It was nice to be able to walk to some of the stores around the property. The communication with the property manager was fine. It's much faster getting an answer when you call than leaving a message via VRBO.

Cozy get away

The unit was close to so many places and about a 8 minute walk to the beach . We didn’t mind the walk because the scenery was beautiful, there’s a cross walk with a bunch of turtles the kids loved ! Loved that we got two beach chairs with the rental at the beach . They had all pots we needed to cook and even an outdoor grill . The rooms are super cute and the beds were soooooo comfy we slept so good and usually we don’t . We would suggest this rental to the next person !

Wonderful!

Everything was awesome. Only 2 feedback - The house was clean except for the floor that would make your foot Go dirty but we used the flip flops. And the bunkbed was quite noisy to sleep on. Kitchen and Bath was well equipped. it is a beautifully decorated house!

I would give a complete 5 instead of 4 for overall, but I had to reclean the master bathroom on arrival. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely do it again.

Upon arrival, some hair in the bathtub and something bloody looking in the corner of the master bath by the toilet was there. There were plenty of bath towels available and everything we needed to make and eat meals there. (7 of us) It was smaller than expected for 7 people (44, 35, 17, 12, 11, 11, and 9yo) The location was great! Close to one cold pool, and one warmer pool, and a short walk to the beach. Beautiful area on a lake, so our children also went fishing at the lake. Short walk to a candy shop, ice cream shop, and beach store! Property manager answered all questions very promptly

Quick Getaway

We wanted a quick getaway. We had hoped to be closer to the beach than we were. When we originally booked, the listing showed us right on the beach which is what made us book. We made the best of it and enjoyed our time. The unit was the perfect size for our group.

Family vacay

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at SouthBay #27. It was well-equipped with all of our needs, including lots of beach accessories (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, floats) in the the outdoor storage room. The free beach service (2 chairs and one umbrella) was also very nice! We would definitely want to stay here again!
