1. Smoking and drug use are not allowed inside the unit, on the balcony, or in the hallways of the building. This includes vapes, weed, or other illegal substances. There is a $1000 fine if discovered.
2. Parties are not allowed in this property, including loud music. There is a fee of $1000 if a party is discovered or if a neighbor complains about excessive noise. Quiet Hours: 10pm - 8am.
3. There is a $50 fee per guest per night for undeclared guests.
4. No pets allowed.
5. If an excessive mess is discovered after your stay, you will be charged accordingly on top of the standard cleaning fee. Please leave only 1 bag of trash in the can maximum at the property.
6. A lost, missing, or damaged key, fob, or parking permit has a replacement cost of $75 each.
7. Standard check-out is 10 am. Late check-out must be requested 24 hours before your checkout and it is $30/Flat fee. We will let you know what time we can accommodate. Late check-out without approval will be $150 per hour.
8. Standard check-in is at 4pm. Early check-in must be requested at time of booking and is subject to availability. The fee is $20/hr. We will let you know what time we can accommodate. If you arrive early at the property without letting us know, you will have to wait until check-in time. SAME DAY BOOKINGS HAVE A 5PM CHECK IN UNLESS AVAILABLE SOONER.
9. Everything in the home is inventoried. We will charge for any missing or damaged items.
10. Any cleaning issues must be reported within a reasonable time of check-in so that we can help resolve any issues you may have.
11. We do not allow packages/mail to be sent to the address you’re staying at. You may deliver items to the door, or to a local FedEx/UPS. We cannot help you to retrieve delivered mail.
12. Respectful and friendly vocabulary is required by both parties. Your reservation will be cancelled with no refund if you use profanity or threaten any of our staff.
13. You are booking with a valid government-issued ID and are not engaging in fraud or identity theft.
14. Ring doorbell camera in the hallways for security.

This property was comfortable, affordable, and entertaining!! We were welcomed with a clean and cozy loft overlooking city with FANTASTIC view of the Des Moines Capital. Good for a short stay, apartment needs attention

The apartment is spacious and stocked as described.It was not fully cleaned before we arrived - the dirty towels from the last guest were in the hamper and there were sheets in the dryer and dishes in the dishwasher. The dishes and utensils had bits of food stuck to them. The counters and appliances were smeared like they had hastily wiped but not cleaned properly.The shower had the start of mildew growing on the curtain and there were clumps of hair stuck to both bath mats.The train is nearby and the whistle was a bit loud for us at night (although if you’re accustomed to city noise probably no big deal). We had a 5 night stay and as I was on my way to restock the supplies that had run low (we ran out of paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent and there were no dish towels and 2 bath towels for 2 people for 5 nights) when I got a message through VRBO asking me if I wanted to extend. I got back and went to use the exercise room, which was also out of toilet paper and paper towels — and had no cleaning supplies for the equipment. The couch is badly stained and WELL broken in. It is the one pictured but has a new blanket thrown over it to hide the wear, which can definitely be felt if you try to use it.The hosts were very responsive ahead of and during our stay and helpful with all of my questions. When I let them know about the conditions here, they thanked me and confirmed they will use the feedback to improve the conditions for future guests.

Great place in a central location

Check in was seamless. Secure building. Modern, clean, and well-appointed. Centrally located and close to airport. Beds were comfortable. Good restaurants nearby. But the train blowing its horn nearby was a bit of an annoyance.

In town for family/friends visit

In DSM for a short visit in summertime to hit the fair and see Family and friends. Enjoyed the location very much, the proximity to downtown, the wonderful pizza Tavern across the street, the amenities, including the gym upstairs and patio on the fourth floor. The loft was exceptionally clean and included laundry facilities inside the space. Excellent quality, bedding and linens. The owner was, very responsive with questions. Check in and check out processes were very simple. Would definitely rent again if I was in need of a place in Des Moines.
