This rustic but renovated "1930 Jim Bridger Cabin" directly on Coal Creek with creek views and mountain views honors the Western America explorer Jim Bridger who was a mountain man, trapper, Army scout, and wilderness guide who explored and trapped in the Western United States in the first half of the 19th century. He was known as Old Gabe in his later years. Bridger often presented the Yellowstone region as a place of mystery and magic. For example, Bridger once described a petrified forest in Yellowstone that was home to âpetrified birds that sang petrified songs.â
