The property is relatively new and well built. It wasnât without problems, however, which is the only reason for the 4 stars. But the staff truly were responsive and helpful beyond the call of duty. The problems: our room didnât have heat (they immediately provided an electric heater) and ultimately a burst pipe in the bathroom forcied us to move next door. This room too didnât have heat (solved immediately) but more annoyingly, the phones had no power ( also solved immediately). The lunch buffet was truly excellent with every dish being well-prepared and subtly spiced. The room service food was delicious and very generously portioned. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the sheets white and clean. The bathroom towels could be a bit whiter but they were clean. The hot water was hot and soap/shampoo/lotion better than adequate. It cost a bit more and was hard to pick out among all the hotels in the neighborhood for a one-night layover, but I recommend them. Good job, guys!
I had an extremely distressing experience with this hotel and would strongly caution other travellers, especially international guests.
Despite having a confirmed reservation, my family and I were refused check-in at approximately 11:30 PM on 5 December solely because we were travelling on foreign passports. This policy was never disclosed at the time of booking and should have been clearly communicated before accepting and confirming reservations.
I was travelling with my family, including our 4-year-old child. After a 12-hour drive, being turned away at such a late hour in an unfamiliar city left us exhausted, hungry, and extremely distressed. Denying accommodation under these circumstances was completely unacceptable.
Because of the hotelâs refusal to honour a confirmed booking, we were left stranded late at night with no immediate alternatives available. We spent nearly two hours searching for accommodation and were eventually forced to book another hotel at almost four times the original cost.
This situation caused significant stress, financial loss, and disruption to our family, all of which could have been avoided if the hotel had honoured the booking or clearly disclosed their passport policy in advance. I would not recommend this hotel to international travellers or families.
