Voyager Rest est idéalement situé pour profiter de l'incroyable beauté de la magnifique et sauvage Virginie occidentale! Il est situé sur un terrain privé de plus de 7 acres, dans la réserve faunique nationale de la vallée de Canaan; spécifiquement au sein de la communauté de villégiature fermée Old Timberline. Il offre une intimité totale à seulement quelques minutes d'innombrables activités de plein air. L'adresse de la propriété est la suivante: 949 Sand Run Road, Davis, WV 26260.

L'intĂ©rieur de Voyager Rest est superbement fini avec des antiquitĂ©s et des objets de collection du monde entier. C'est vraiment unique en son genre. Il comprend une grande cheminĂ©e Ă  bois en pierre, des poutres en chĂȘne, du parquet ancien en bois dur et en ardoise, des douches en pierre et des comptoirs en granit Ă©quipĂ©s d'Ă©viers en cuivre faits Ă  la main. Deux kayaks sont Ă  la disposition des invitĂ©s; un Ă  chaque lac (s'il vous plaĂźt voir orientation).

La rĂ©serve faunique nationale de la vallĂ©e de Canaan Ă©tait la 500 e rĂ©serve faunique nationale Ă  ĂȘtre Ă©tablie aux États-Unis. Le refuge prĂ©serve une vallĂ©e humide avec des zones humides et des hautes terres uniques Ă  une altitude relativement Ă©levĂ©e dans les montagnes Allegheny.

Magic of nature

We love this VRBO cabin so much that we’ve stayed multiple times. Its eclectic decor adds to the enjoyment of our stay. It has plenty of space for our family and is located near some of the most beautiful natural sites in the world. Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, etc. The views from the cabin are perfect for watching deer, sunsets, and enjoying nature.

Great location and beautiful unique cabin

This cabin was awesome and filled with unique treasures from the owner's world travels. The view was beautiful, the beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make our meals. They even had hummingbird nectar and we filled the feeder and were able to see the hummingbirds a lot during our stay. We went fishing in the nearby Sand Run Lake and caught some bass. This was a great location since it was close to Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls State Parks.

Pictures don’t do justice!

You have to see it to truly appreciate it! This place will fill you with awe and motivation. The views, both in and out of the cabin, will make your mind wonder on and on. The place has everything you might need and the customer service, both from the owner, and from the staff, will make you feel like you’ve all been long time friends. I cannot recommend this place enough and I can’t wait to be back!

Fun even a second time

This was our second time at this property. This time we took our two boys. They loved it just as much as we did. The location is perfect for hiking during the day. And the house is perfect for enjoying each others' company in the evenings. The host has always been super helpful. My youngest son didnt want to leave and is making plans to return in the future.

Tiny Castle in the Mountains

Despite the chilly weather, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Or perhaps BECAUSE of the chilly weather? While we did get out to explore (Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks) during the sunny days, we slept in late each morning and returned in the afternoon to curl up by the fireplace with books and music. We cooked all of our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined together “at home.” The beds were very comfortable and made with high quality linens. Showering was even a treat! The collections on display kept us entertained throughout our stay. I’m sure we didn’t take in everything over the three days. At night we relaxed in the hot tub, under the stars. We look forward to visiting again during a different season so we can see more of the local area.

Amazing stay at Voyager Rest

Beautiful, secluded and comfortable home. Home was unique and decorated with treasurers from around the world. We only left to grab some dinner take-out in the town of David. Spent majority of our time watching movies next to a warm fire. Loved the surround sound and the large stone shower downstairs. Slept in the loft room-super comfy! We plan to return next year! Wonderful and unique!

We enjoyed the many unique items throughout the home collected by the owner through their travels. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and very private with wonderful views. Communication was a little lacking, but there were no major issues. We would definitely stay again!

Another Fantastic Stay

This home is so so special and we enjoyed another fantastic stay. Had great skiing weather a couple days, one day of rain but we played board games and enjoyed the hot tub. My 80 year old Mom slept till noon and I had to go wake her, the beds were so comfortable. Thanks again to Jim for such a fun place to take a wide range of people. We hated to leave!

Family Trip

Voyager Rest was perfect place for our quick trip to introduce our grandchildren to skiing. They loved exploring the rooms and the unique decor. The place is in a perfect location to the slopes at Timberline Mountain Ski Resort. It was easy to check in at the security gate and access the home. Very clean and well stocked with items you might need while away from home. Jim, the owner, was quick to reply with the front door code when VRBO didn't send it. He sent detailed instructions that covered any questions we might have had while there. The hot tub was a huge family favorite. Our dogs loved running around in the snow around the home. We didn't have trouble driving on the snow packed road to the place. we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic cabin with SO much character

My family and I loved this place. Location is just minutes from timberline, the cost was good and it had more character than any VRBO I've rented before. Great place to relax after a day of adventure

My family (2 adults, 2 kids) and my parents had a fantastic time at the house, Voyager Retreat. The home is beautiful, very well built, which was reassuring during a winter storm with strong winds, and cozy. The decor is eclectic and enjoyable. The home amenities were perfect for our group and kept in great condition. The location is fantastic, secluded with a great view but also convenient to the local resorts. Hopefully we can return to enjoy a different season as I’m sure the summer and fall would be amazing.

Post election get away

Jim is a lovely and responsive host. The property is just as pictured on the website. The home is a treasure trove of objects from around the world. The bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen has most all conveniences that we needed to prepare meals.
