100 Heron's Hideaway
Unit 100 - Welcome to Heronâs Hideaway. Formerly known as Heels in the Sand, now under new ownership with exciting updates in progress.
Located in the exclusive gated community of Desoto Landing, Heronâs Hideaway is a beautifully furnished 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath beach house just steps from Dauphin Islandâs white sandy beaches & Desoto Landing's Private Pool and Tennis Court. Thoughtfully designed for both comfort and relaxation, this coastal retreat offers a spacious, open floor plan that is perfect for entertaining and making lasting beachside memories.
The main level features a large living room with seating for eight, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a convenient half bath, and a King Suite with a private ensuite bathroom. This beautifully updated bath includes a double vanity, walk-in tiled shower, and a freestanding soaking tub. The primary suite also opens onto a peaceful screened-in back porch, a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the sights and sounds of the islandâs natural landscape.
Upstairs youâll find a bunk room and a third spacious bedroom, along with a large full bathroom, offering plenty of space for families or groups traveling together.
Additional features include an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day on the beach, and ample parking both underneath the house and in the driveway. Recent updates include fresh exterior paint and new carpet upstairs in 2025, with new screens for the porch being added soon.
Guests of Desoto Landing enjoy access to community amenities such as a pool, tennis and pickleball court, and a boardwalk that crosses protected sand dunes and leads directly to the beach. The boardwalk is just a one-minute walk from the home.
Come experience the charm of Heronâs Hideaway, where the beauty of Dauphin Island and the comfort of a well-maintained home combine to create the perfect beach vacation. This is your chance to enjoy a peaceful getaway in the Sunset Capital of Alabama.
No parties or events allowed at this location. Occupancy must be observed at all times. Primary renter must be over age 25 and must be present during the entire stay.
Things to know about our Dauphin Island Rentals:
7 Day Minimum
All linens are provided
Gas Grill provided
You must be at least 25 years old to rent
Parking for 4 passenger cars
No trailers, campers, boats, etc. may be parked at home at any time during the stay. Violators will be fined at the discretion of the HOA.
Additional Charges: Cleaning fee, 13% lodging tax, non-refundable reservation fee and damage waiver, optional travel insurance.
Saturday to Saturday reservations preferred during peak summer season.
