Iâm only giving this any stars at all because of the kind front-desk employee who genuinely tried to help us.
We had booked and fully prepaid for a room through Expedia earlier that day. After driving roughly 1,000 miles with our kids, we arrived around 3:30 a.m., completely exhausted. Unfortunately, the hotelâs system had rolled over to the next day, and because the reservation was made through Expedia, the staff was unable to access or honor it. Despite our confirmation and payment, they couldnât get us into the room we had already paid for and were unable to issue any refund on the spot.
The front-desk clerk was sympathetic and did everything she could, but the system limitations (and lack of a workable solution) turned what should have been a simple check-in into a frustrating and costly ordeal.
