Let the stresses of everyday life disappear at this gorgeous property. Located in an elevated position on one of the most beautiful parks in Dumfries & Galloway, the views are simply outstanding!
Kippford (also known as the Scottish Riviera) is known for it's stunning scenery, woodland walks and local wildlife and visitors return year after year as they fall in love with the area.
The property is fully equipped, cosy and welcoming and is the perfect base for exploring this wonderful region.
The space
Sleeping up to 6 guests, Solway Skies is located in an enviable position set within the hills of Kippford and the award winning Coastal Kippford country park.
Enter the property to be greeted by a spacious, light and bright open plan kitchen, dining & seating area.
The kitchen is fully equipped meaning preparing anything from a light breakfast to a full evening meal is a breeze!
Have a cosy night in front of the TV after a fun packed day exploring all our beautiful region has to offer or have family games night, there is plenty of room in the sitting area for all the family and some great board games are included for you to enjoy.
From the sitting room, French doors open out to the large decking area with outdoor seating, the perfect spot to enjoy an early morning coffee or evening glass of wine whilst soaking in the views of the hills and countryside beyond. You will see plenty of wildlife and will no doubt make friends with our resident red squirrel!
The master bedroom has a super comfortable king size bed, plenty of storage and boasts an en-suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds with storage.
The main bathroom has a good size walk-in shower with vanity unit.
Guests 5 & 6 would sleep on the double sofa bed in the sitting room, which, is surprisingly comfortable!
Kippford is a beautiful and picturesque village which is often visited by the local people of Dumfries & Galloway itself. A popular sailing village, small yachts are often moored in the estuary and the Solway Yacht Club often holds sailing events.
Known as the 'Scottish Riviera' it boasts some of the most expensive properties in the region!
There are fantastic coastal and forest walking opportunities with the Kippford to Rockcliffe round trip taking around 1.5 to 2 hours and offers incredible views.
For Golfers there is Craigieknowes Golf Course, a scenic 9 hole, par 3 course or Colvend Golf course, both only minutes from the property.
In addition the championship grade links course at Southerness is only 20 minutes away.
Dumfries and Galloway is a cyclist’s paradise. You can Ride the Coast, Ride the Uplands, Ride the South Coast 200 or choose Day Rides.
Dalbeattie Forest is one of the 7stanes cycling trails and in all there are over 17km of cycling trails linking Dalbeattie to Colvend, Sandyhills and Kippford.
Kippford has two fantastic restaurants at local hotels The Mariner & The Anchor which offer a wide menu from traditional pub food to seafood specials.
Solway Skies is one of those 'good for the soul' properties, with the location, the views and the general feeling of wellness the property promotes we are sure you will wish to return time and again, we can't wait to welcome you!
