In fact, in this lovely coastal town, you could eat somewhere different every night and would be sure to have a good meal. The Bure Valley Railway miniature gauge railway takes a ride through open countryside with on/off stops to popular riverside villages and the market town of Aylsham. The City of Norwich has a splendid castle, market, excellent shopping, eateries, theatres, and museums. Those with cars can travel east or west from here and find a string of impressive beach habitats including wide sandy shores, salt and clay marshes, rolling dunes, and picturesque quays. The whole area is packed with history too so do make time to visit the Blickling, Holkham, Houghton, and Sandringham Estates along with North Norfolk Railway, Norwich Castle, and the Thursford Collection with its Christmas Spectacular. Nature lovers will enjoy visits to Sheringham Park, RSPB Cley Marshes, and Pensthorpe Nature Resort, along with the Norfolk Broads, which can be reached in around half an hour.
