Made just perfect for families, they offer bathtubs with showers over and pretty courtyard gardens that are perfect for a morning coffee from the coffee machine or an evening sundowner after a day on the nearby beach. Everything has been well thought out and all the cottages offer king-size beds that are just made for a great night’s sleep. Dating back to at least the 1800s, the traditional Norfolk fishermans’ cottages, Rectory Cottage and Beach Retreat both sleep four and are next door to each other. These two properties offer small off-road parking areas, something of a rarity this close to the beach. Also built in the 1800s and just a little further along the lane lies Gardener’s Cottage, which sleeps and has a King size bedroom on the ground floor with an En-suite shower room, making this a two-bathroom property that’s perfect for three generations travelling together. These three properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests. A couple of minutes away, lie Hardy’s Cottage and the Old Bakehouse, which are next- door to each other too. Both sleeping four, the Old Bakehouse has a lofty, barn conversion vibe and its accommodation is arranged across the ground floor. Two-storey Hardy’s Cottage has bedrooms that are tastefully decorated in a style reminiscent of the late Victorian or early Edwardian period. Just a couple of minutes from here you will find Forsythia House, A large Victorian terrace, standing proud in an elegant row that features original-style sash windows. This property sleeps five guests in three bedrooms. The King size bedroom also features an en-suite shower room, meaning this is also a two-bathroom property. The single room is accessed through the king-size bedroom, making it great for young children and there is also a twin room. And the location couldn’t be better either as you are footsteps from the wide sandy stretch of Overstrand beach and have places to eat on foot too. Make sure you take the time to visit nearby Cromer with its famous pier and head to the Norfolk Broads and hire a day launch or join a tour.
