The Neighborhood:

This is a newly built home and there are more homes being built just down the street. You will see construction and may hear construction noises during the day.

At nighttime, it is very quiet and dark and a great place to see the stars.



Getting Around:

You will need a four-wheel drive vehicle to access the property in the winter months. Be aware of snowfall and travel advisories. The driveway has been paved and can fit your vehicle and trailer. The garage is big enough to park your vehicle if you'd like, it will not fit a larger truck.



To get from Buckhorn Ranch to Mt. Crested Butte Ski Area without driving, you can use the Mountain Express shuttle service. It offers free transportation around Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte year-round. For the ski area, you have two primary options:



FirstTracks On-Demand Service: This service operates between 7:15 AM and midnight and provides front-door pickups at locations including Buckhorn Ranch. It will take you directly to Mountaineer Square or the CBMR base area. You can book a ride using their app or by calling their number directly (find this on google)



Town Shuttle: The regular Mountain Express shuttles run between downtown Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte every 15 minutes during peak hours in winter. You may need to connect from FirstTracks to this service depending on your destination.

Other Things to Note:

It is illegal to feed or approach wildlife in Colorado- you could get a fine. Keep a safe distance and keep your food and trash locked up.

We loved our stay. We stayed with our 3 kids and dog. Location is wonderful- it’s a quiet neighborhood where the kids could bike and go to the playground alone, and I could walk the dog peacefully taking in the amazing views. Check in and out were a breeze. A few adds to the kitchen would be great - salad bowl, some more silverware, and maybe some larger Tupperware, but the basics were there. Bedrooms need a dresser or some place to put clothing, that would be the only other need, as the kids lived off the floor- which wasn’t ideal for a longer stay. All these aside we would definitely stay again.

Great House & Location

We enjoyed our stayed at this house. The set up was perfect for our family of 4. The house was extremely clean and the neighbors were very friendly. The kitchen was stocked allowing us to cook dinner in the evenings.The property manager reached out several times to check on us, which was very thoughtful.We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in being close to Crested Butte (downtown shops) and the ski mountain. All within an easy drive.

Great place with wonderful neighbors

This place is very nice with great views anf neighbors. We got our car stuck in the snow, they forgot to plow the driveway, but Jerry from next door came to our rescue. He got the neighbors together and pulled us out. Then he shoveled our driveway while we were unpacking. Great hosts as well, excellent communication. Just a wonderful time!

Great spot for our family and dogs. Easy check in/out. The location is great, beautiful views, new neighborhood. All the neighbors we met were very friendly. Quiet and comfortable! Nice park within walking distance for the kids! The house is well equipped and a great home base while exploring CB!

Great house with beautiful views

We loved our stay at the Waffle Bar house and are looking forward to staying here again. The beds were very fantastic, the kitchen was easy to cook in and the house was very comfortable overall. The location is beautiful and the views are incredible. The owner communicated clearly and was very responsive to our messages.

Crested Butte vacation

It is a lovely property. We had difficulty opening one of the garage doors. And it would be nice to have slow closure or a door stop for the doors entering the garage and side entry. They are heavy and caught my husbands heel. Ouch! The kitchen is well equipped and the house was clean. The property mgr was quick to respond to all our questions. Would definitely rent again.

 some property management issues

Location is outstanding and the construction and comfort will ensure we look for this property again in the future. Just a few miles out of town, close to hiking trails with plenty of room for our family. The property manager was quick to respond but did not follow through with results. We rented the property for 7 and there were 4 large dinner plates. The manager promised to have them delivered by 8:45 pm
 which did not happen. Also who wants to wait to eat dinner until 9 pm? The garage was full of dried mud from the previous renter and there were a significant number of dog turds in the front yard. The manager expected me to track down cleaning supplies and send pictures of the dog poo
 I declined on both. Love this property but the manager has some work to do. Hope this information makes it to the property owner.

New property with amazing views

We had a wonderful stay at this townhome with stunning views of Whetstone Mountain. It was easy to get to and only about 10 minutes from the ski area. The double car heated garage was a huge bonus. The property manager was very responsive to our requests. Highly recommend and will plan to stay again in the future.

Snow much fun

Perfect size and layout for our family of 5 and pup. Kitchen had everything we needed. Easy 10 minute drive (or less) to mountain to ski. Loved the quiet neighborhood. We'll go back!
