The Space:

Grand Lodge Crested Butte #518 is a top-floor (5th floor), fully remodeled studio in the East tower at the base of Mt. Crested Butte — 3 minutes on foot to the Red Lady Express lift and steps from the building's heated pool and hot tub.



The remodel is recent: brand-new flooring throughout, updated kitchenette, fresh paint and finishes. The difference vs. the building's 1999 baseline is visible the moment you walk in.



The unit is an open studio: a king bed, a pull-out sofa bed, a sitting area, a workspace, and a kitchenette along one wall. Sleeps 4. Built for ski weekends and mountain-activity getaways.

— Not pet-friendly — #518 is on the 5th floor; only 1st/2nd floor Grand Lodge units accept pets



Guest Access:

The entire studio is yours. Self check-in with a keypad — your door code, 5th-floor East-tower directions, and parking details are sent through the digital guidebook before arrival.



Shared building amenities — heated pool, hot tub, gym, steam room, lobby, and coin laundry on every floor — are managed by the Grand Lodge HOA and are available to every guest during open hours. We'll flag any known closures before your stay. Amenity operating hours can change without notice; refunds aren't offered for HOA-controlled amenity downtime.



Parking: one free spot in the lot per reservation, plus an on-site EV charging station (Tesla only, level 2). Additional vehicles can park in the overflow lot.



The Neighborhood:

You're at the base of Mt. Crested Butte Ski Resort. Red Lady Express — the main lift at the base — is a 3-minute walk from the Grand Lodge's front door. The historic town of Crested Butte (Elk Avenue restaurants, breweries, shops) is 6 minutes by car or a free shuttle ride away.

Crested Butte is known for locally owned restaurants, world-class fall aspens along Kebler Pass, and a less-corporate feel than Vail or Aspen.



Getting Around:

You can ski without a car — the Red Lady Express lift is a 3-minute walk and ski rentals + storage are at Butte & Co across the lot. For downtown, groceries, and trailheads, a car is convenient, though the free Mt. Express shuttle runs regularly between the mountain base and downtown Crested Butte.



From Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport (GUC): ~40min drive north on Hwy 135. Seasonal direct flights from Denver, Dallas, Houston.



From Denver International (DEN): ~4hr drive via Hwy 285 S ➔ Hwy 50 W ➔ Hwy 135 N. AWD and snow tires recommended November through April.

Not pet-friendly. This unit is on the 5th floor of the Grand Lodge; only 1st and 2nd floor units accept pets. If you need pet-friendly lodging at the Grand Lodge, book a different unit.



Altitude: Mt. Crested Butte sits at 9,375 ft. Drink extra water, take your first day easy, and consider travel insurance. We're unable to offer refunds for altitude-related issues.



No air conditioning — Mt. Crested Butte rarely needs it. No in-unit washer; coin laundry is available on every floor of the Grand Lodge.



Studio layout — four guests share one open room. Sleeping is 1 king bed + 1 pull-out sofa bed.



Shared amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, steam room, laundry) are HOA-managed. We'll flag known closures in advance, but we can't offer refunds for HOA-controlled amenity downtime.



EV charging is Tesla-only, level 2. If you drive a non-Tesla EV, plan to charge off-site.



No daily linen service — this is a short-term rental, not a hotel. Mid-stay turnover is available on 24-hour notice.



Check-in after 4:00 PM, checkout before 10:00 AM. 4 guests maximum.



Interaction with Guests:

We respond within an hour through the platform and the digital guidebook. Check-in details, WiFi password, parking instructions, and local recommendations are all in the guidebook, sent a day before arrival. The level of interaction is up to you — available if you want us, invisible if you don't.
