Academy Place | Paintbrush

Academy Place is located around the beautiful Academy Place Courtyard in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado. Paintbrush is perfect for those who would like to be able to walk everywhere, as it is a short walk from restaurants, shops, galleries, grocery stores, outdoor activities, and the local movie theater. Despite its downtown location, Paintbrush offers the privacy of your own cottage equipped with full sized appliances for a perfect home away from home. It is located very near bus stops to get you to Mt. Crested Butte for additional activities, and just a short walk from the RTA bus stop for further adventures.

Paintbrush is a standalone cottage at the Academy Place location, around a common courtyard area. It is a four bedroom, ideal for larger families or groups, as well as those with additional accessibility needs. Paintbrush has a ramp to the front door for ease of access, and the ground floor has a large King bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a shower seat and accessibility rails. The main floor also hosts the expansive living space with a gas fireplace, a Smart TV, and Sonos for music. It boasts a fully equipped kitchen with large appliances and cookware, and a powder room for convenience. Upstairs, Paintbrush has an additional King bedroom with an ensuite bathroom hosting a large bathtub and steam shower. Upon descending down the stairs to the lower level, you will find a bedroom with five twin beds in a bunk bed formation, a bedroom with a Queen bed, and an additional entertainment room with a large television and seating area. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom.

Paintbrush also has a full sized washer and dryer, onsite parking for two cars in addition to available street parking, and a private hot tub located outside. Each bedroom has its own TV as well for cozy entertainment. The outside space includes a private porch with an outdoor propane grill. Please note that this unit does not have air conditioning.

In comparison with the other Academy Place units, Paintbrush has the largest sleeping capacity, allowing for a maximum of eleven people. Paintbrush is the only four bedroom unit on the property (the others have three), and has the largest square footage. There are also only two cottages with hot tubs, Paintbrush being one of them. Mariposa and Valerian are commonly rented in addition to Paintbrush for even larger groups, as the three cottages are located in a row along the street.
