Nolin River Lake is a stunning reservoir that changes in size throughout the year, ranging from 2,890 acres (11.7 kmÂČ) in the winter to 5,795 acres (23.45 kmÂČ) during the summer months. If youâre visiting in the winter, please be aware that the lake reaches its winter pool levels, which can leave the lakebed exposed. This unique feature offers an exciting opportunity to explore the area on foot and discover the hidden parts of the lake! However, fishing and swimming are best enjoyed once the lake reaches its summer pool, typically by late April or early May. The lake begins to draw down to winter pool levels by mid-October, so keep that in mind when planning your visit.
Please keep in mind that youâre staying in a peaceful, rural setting surrounded by nature, which is part of what makes this place so wonderful. With this peaceful environment comes the occasional sighting of local wildlifeâwhether it's a deer, bunny, field mouse, bird, or even a reptile or insect. We want to assure you that we take steps to manage this natural environment by investing in regular pest control services, doing our best to minimize any issues that can arise from being in the countryside. Enjoy the charm of nature, knowing we've got you covered!
