This is 2nd floor unit has modern décor throughout with a crisp, clean color pallet. The full kitchen has granite counter tops, ample lighting and white appliances including a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot etc. The kitchen is also fully equipped with any necessary cook ware for your culinary needs. Just off of the kitchen is a dining table with seating for 4. It can also be used for a fun game of cards. The open, airy living space has plenty of seating for relaxing or entertaining with a tufted tan couch, 2 matching accent chairs with ottomans and a wall mounted TV. Just off of the living area is a private balcony with outdoor seating. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine in the ocean breeze with a view of the Gulf. Back inside, the large bedroom has 2 Full beds, a nightstand, wall mounted TV, closet and chest for your beach attire. The full bath has a tub/shower for accommodating all guests. Located near downtown Port Aransas, the golf course, shopping, beach access and restaurants. Amenities include: TV, wireless internet, access to Charcoal BBQ pits and picnic areas, laundry facilities, 2 Boardwalks to the Beach, 2 Shared Community Pools.

Loved closeness to beach!

We loved this condo, and the management was outstanding at responding to our needs right away! Loved the gorgeous view of the ocean from the back patio! The only thing I can recommend is that they replace the area rug in the den. It was quite run down and all along one side it was very damp. Also the bottom shelf of the fridge falls completely out when you open it. Other than those things, we loved it and hope to return some day! Thank you!

Perfect!

Our stay was perfect! Great location (especially for Sandfest)! The property was beautifully decorated and homey. Beds were comfy. Necessities were provided. We had no hot water and it was fixed almost immediately! Would most definitely stay again.

Wonderful place!

My wife and I have come down to Port Aransas the last few years for our birthdays. Stayed here for the first time and it was amazing. Check in was super easy and the condo had everything you would expect. It was super clean and well attended. Hopefully we can stay here again next year.

Poor comfort

There was a lot wrong with our stay. Starting with me having to call the property manager about check in details. As soon as we got there the maids had left dirty rags in the shower, door knob falling off to bathroom, and windows to outside were hard to see out of. One of the beds had bugs in it, the furniture is extremely uncomfortable, and the bedroom TV didn’t work at all. I understand it’s vacation, but when you like to watch tv before bed it’s annoying. The living room rug feels like you’re walking on gravel, it’s dirty and gross to walk on and lastly, the coffee table was missing the glass piece, so you could t set anything on the table. It just wasn’t the easy going comfortable stay we had in mind. Yes, the view is incredible, and you’re seconds away from the beach, but if you’re looking for comfort to get away with your loved one, this isn’t it.

Nice Port A Beachfront

We have stayed many times at Island Retreat over the years and this unit is one of the best. Nice second floor balcony with view of the ocean and directly adjacent to the footpath and boardwalk through the dunes. This unit is updated nicely and clean. Overall a very positive stay and I would recommend this as a nice 1-bedroom for two people. There are two double beds but I think 4-people might be a bit crowded, especially with only 1 bathroom. I would recommend that the owner replace the coffee table with something that you could place coffee or a drink on. There is a 'wagon wheel' that was formerly a table, but the glass is missing so it is not usable. The balcony is nice with two rocking chairs and separate side chairs. One final comment - if you're someone who highly values a good WiFi connection, note that for some reason I couldn't hold a good signal for more than about 30 minutes. If I reset the router I could get it back, but it is spotty and slow. Verizon service varied from 1 to 3 bars. Overall, connectivity is not that great. But I shouldn't have been trying to work anyway :-)

Cute Place for quick stay

This is right next to the beach access, which is nice. Your balcony will be right above where everyone will walk by because of this. It has a decent enough view of the ocean from the balcony, but since it's the second floor and there are high dunes, you cannot see the beach directly, it's just straight out to the ocean. It was nice to have a little kitchen area, because the food at Port A is sup par. You will want to bring your own food. (They actually had nice picnic areas and a pool out back if you don't want to cook inside.) Overall the space is great for 2-4 people, and I do think it was good value for the money. If you are looking for a quick getaway, and this is in your price range, I would say it's worth it. The couch cushions, the shower curtain and the carpet in the bedroom could be replaced and instantly make the place feel more clean. (Not the end of the world, I'm on the more picky end of cleanliness. It's a beach condo after all.)

Lovely place with Ocean View

We had a nice time staying here! It was clean, linens fresh, and within walking distance to the beach. The unit is close to the walking path to get to the beach and is easily accessible with a wagon.

nice decor great access to beach walk. Not sure if the beds were worn out or meant to be soft. Area rug in living area was beyond needing to be cleaned or changed out. Couch was worn out . Best seats in the "house" were the rocking chairs & dinette chairs
