PRIME LOCATION - PRIVATE POOL

4 bedroom 3 bath vacation rental located in the heart of Port Aransas 1/4 mile to the beach. Spacious, well equipped kitchen with granite counters, lots of cabinets and storage, open to living and dining area with high ceilings. Tile flooring throughout. Extensive decking in front and back of home to enjoy the sun and sea breeze. 2 master bedrooms and baths with King beds. Third bedroom with King bed and shares a bath with the fourth bedroom equipped as a bunk room with 3 bunk beds.

Plenty of covered parking under the house.

Rates quoted are for up to 8 guests. Accurate guest counts must be provided so that we can provide sufficient towels and linens and supplies. Additional guests are $25 per stay. Additional guest fees are charged on the check-in date. NOTE: The top bunks are for children less than 100 lbs. only. This house is ideally suited for 3 adults couples and some children therefor we recommend no more than 6 adults in the house.

Sand Castle Drive is a lively street with direct access to the beach. Easy golf cart access to town and the beach. Easy walk to the beach!

All outdoor areas are covered by security cameras and record any time motion is detected.

Rates quoted are for up to 8 guests per home. No more than 12 guests may be in each of our homes at any time. Guests in excess of 8 total per home are charged at $25 per night per guest upon check-in. Accurate guest counts must be provided so that we can provide sufficient towels and linens and supplies.

This house is ideally suited for 3 adults couples and some children therefor we recommend no more than 8 adults in the house if the party is adults only, or no more than 6 adults if there are children coming.

The top bunks are for children less than 100 lbs. only.

Gas grills are provided. Some properties have propane grills. We leave a couple propane tanks at the house for the grill, but there is no practical way to keep them filled, so propane is not guaranteed. Like most properties on the island, we employ the honor system, as we do not and can not monitor them. If you drew the short straw and the gas runs low or out on you, take the cylinder and pay an exchange at IGA, CVS, Ace, or Stripes. It should be around $25.

Grill cleaning is guest responsibility. If you use any of the outdoor cooking equipment, it needs to be cleaned and the drip pans emptied and ready for the next guest. We do not and can not clean the grills and boiling pots between guests. Please use paper towels and the metal grill brushes to clean the grills, not our linens or our pool cleaning equipment. If you leave the grill or boiling pot dirty for the next guest you will be charged per the rental agreement. If you check in and find the grill dirty send us pictures and we will send you $25. NOTE: Dirty is excessive food particles or full grease catch pans or actual food left in the boiling pot, not a little grease residue or a little rust on the grill or grates.

Golf Cart usage is subject to terms and conditions that are in the home rental agreement. You must complete the home rental agreement (which includes the provisions for the golf cart) including full contact details and you must text any operator's driver's license and proof of insurance to us before they operate our cart. Golf cart access and operating instructions will be provided the day of your arrival if you have opted to rent the cart and have provided credit card information.

We heat the pool Nov 1 to Mar 31 to 90 degrees. Heating to higher temperatures and other times can be arranged for a fee. The pools are serviced twice a week and will require occasional closures to allow chemicals to dissipate. This is usually no more than a couple hours.The pool is cleaned on Tuesdays and Fridays and tested for proper and safe chemicals. Sometimes the water isn’t perfectly clear but that does not mean it is unsafe to use. There may be occasional algae growth on the pool walls or steps, or debris or sand blowing in from the beach and landscaping. These do not constitute the pool being dirty. Skimmers and brushes are provided if Guest wants to remove them between regularly scheduled cleanings. Please do not let your children use play with these. Our pool service company will notify you if the pool is unsafe to use. There are no refunds for occasional pool closures for cleaning, repairs or maintenance, “cloudy” water, if pool temperature is undesirable, or other minor issues with the pool.

The house was fantastic. Clean, well-kept and the hosts were incredible w support and communication. Our biggest concern came from the location (and the only reason I couldnt do 5 stars). Keep in mind the house is right on a main "Beach Access" road, which means it gets very busy. If you plan to spend most of your time at the water or are looking for a party vibe, it's an amazing location.However, if you enjoy things a bit quieter, you may want to look elsewhere. We stayed over Spring Break week and there was noisy traffic up and down that road past 3 am.

Favorite House Yet

We’ve been staying in Port Aransas for years and this was by far our favorite house. Loved the king beds and TVs in every room and the pool and golf cart were a huge plus as well. Highly recommend.

Beautiful clean Home

We really enjoyed our family vacation thank to this house, it has everything can possibly need. Super close to the beach and everything else such as restaurants, souvenir stores, and local grocery store. We definitely recommend it for an all adult vacation and or a family vacation. The house is fully remodeled and is gorgeous. Close proximity to the beach with a fun golf cart. The pool is also great. It rained most of the time we were there so we spent most of our time inside and in the pool.

Solid 5 Star Stay!

We stayed during the week of spring break and it could not have been a more perfect location! The beach was maybe a .25 mile walk, which insulated us from the noise beach drive spring breakers but was close that we walked the beach every morning! The house was perfect! So clean, so well stocked! Trash bags, dishwasher pods, towels, beach toys, a few beach chairs… it was everything they advertised and more!

Perfect family house!

60 seconds from the beach!! Perfect house for our family vacation. More than enough room for everyone. Home included towels, beach towels, kitchen essentials and everything else you can think of. After day 1 we said we plan on staying here again next summer. The best part was having a golf cart included and huge private pool!!!!

Great house, perfect location!

If you're looking for the perfect beach house for your family, this is it. Large open area for cooking and dining, large bedrooms with comfy beds, clean home, great communication with the owners and a HEATED POOL! The pool was a huge hit with our boys, (4 & 6) they enjoyed that it was heated on those cool December nights! Plenty of parking at this home as well! We are looking forward to returning this summer and staying again.

Overall great place. Very short distance to beach, private pool was nice, enjoyed the golf cart take family to beach(your not getting sand in your car), outside patio areas were a bit dirty, in the shared bathroom toilet seat was broken and so was the lock to the backyard, it was great for the owners to communicate that the place had everything you needed, pots, pans, one grill with propane the other charcoal AND boiling pot for crab boil! I can see myself come back to this beach house again!

Look no further!

We couldn't have been more happy with our accommodations. The location was unbeatable. Very convenient to the beach (nice if you forget something while on the beach and needed to run back) and everything in town. The house has everything you need to cook and everything was in working condition. The beds were very comfortable, one thing I always look for in comments when I am looking to rent. It was clean as a whistle and AC worked great. I would definitely rent again and again!

Sun, Fun, and a Fab stay on the beach

We LOVED our stay at the Sandbar Retreat. The property was so clean and comfortable. They had so many things provided in the kitchen, for the beach, and even some pantry staples. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water for lots of showers, and the kitchen appliances were in great working order. The owner was helpful with information and tips prior to our trip and clear about how to manage the pool and golfcart so we could keep them in the nice condition we found them. We had two families with a total of 6 children and we all fit comfortably and found it to be a great home, close to the beach, and well appointed. I would recommend this to others...or keep a secret for ourselves because we will be back!

Fantastic Location and home -we plan to return!

We had a great stay. This home was beautiful, clean, comfortable and very user friendly. We would set up our spot on the beach a we were only a quick approximately three minute Golf Kart ride from the house. Very convenient and easy going back and forth from beach to house for more towels, flips flops, baby naps etc. When we had smalls issues/questions, the owners were incredibly quick to respond and very helpful. The house very comfortably accommodated our family and also has lots of parking space under house for our three cars. Our family has been coming to Port Aransas for three generations and this is now one of our favorite places we have stayed. Thanks Thomas for having us share your home!

Disneyworld at the Beach

I had to cancel my trip to Disneyworld with kids & grandchildren due to COVID 19 so I decided on Disneyworld at the Beach...had a few issues upon check in but owner was quick to respond and take care of everything. We decorated the home with Disney theme and had an awesome time..the house is equipped with pretty much everything to cook every meal...plenty of sleeping room and great to have 3 bathrooms..no waiting!! Beach was close enough to walk but having a golf cart was great to haul beach toys and accessories with lugging them on the walk...deck was awesome at night to sit and watch all the activity going on back and forth on the streets...We had an awesome family vacation and plan to make this a yearly tradition now. I highly recommend this home for a family vacation spot!

Excellent - THE BEST!

We loved our stay at Sandbar Retreat and Port A (first timers) for Spring Break! We normally go to Florida, this was our first time on the Texas gulf. The home exceeded our expectations. In fact, it is one of the best homes we have ever stayed in and the host, Thomas, is above the "WOW" factor in providing great communication to allow vacationers to enjoy their stay while he takes care of ensuring everything runs smoothly. Sandbar Retreat is very roomy, clean, well-stocked, and in a good location to travel to the beach and around town. We had teen girls with us, and they enjoyed the heated pool. Having the golf cart was an added bonus to get to the beach and around Port A,. On recommendation made by the host, we ate dinner at Fins, it did not disappoint. We only regret not staying a day longer. Highly recommend!

Amazing communication- great hosts!

The property is very well stocked with everything you would need. The hosts even leave soap, shampoo and makeup wipes just like a hotel. There are more than enough (very large white) towels for everyone for showers and bathing. They have a nice selection of beach towels. We have stayed at many VBRO properties and this one is at the top for hospitality. The internet was fast enough my husband and I could work, our son played video games and we could still stream on the tv. The pool is much larger than the pictures depict, and as a bonus it was 90 degrees. The pool is clean and you have plenty of privacy from neighbors. We had a couple of questions throughout the stay and the hosts responded immediately. They were kind and very accommodating. The washer and dryer are new (the pictures show older ones) and they are very large and perfect for washing large loads after a visit to the beach. Our family will be back - thank you!

Spring Bream Trip

Overall stay was great! Just a few things that could have made it better. We checked in on Friday. The ice maker didn’t work and outlets in all three bathrooms didn’t work. Property manager said he would send someone over Monday to fix it. He gave us the code to the closest so we could get electricity in the bathrooms. There was chewed gum on the bunk room wall. We told him and he said he would send the cleaning company over. He never did. The gum stayed on the wall the entire time we were there. The pool was cold the first two days. We had to message him and he told us he had to recycle it. It was warm the remainder of our stay. It has a Nest thermostat that has previous settings applied. It got up to 75 the first two nights we were there. He said he would log in and reset the thermostat. This took two days. The location was great! Close to beach and town. The golf cart did not have working seat belts or turn signals. The noise was loud on the weekends.
