Enjoy a family getaway at this spacious home in a quiet neighborhood 0.4 miles from the beach. It's the perfect oasis with the main home, detached apartment in the back, private pool, game room and a fenced-in yard for privacy. The main living and gathering area is on the second floor. The grand ceilings open up this well-lit area to entertainment and relaxation. The living area has a couch, 2 accent chairs, a TV with cable and Wi-Fi. The adjacent large dining table has seating for 8 for enjoying freshly prepared meals or games. The full kitchen has ample granite counter space, white appliances and a gas cooktop. It is stocked with basic pots, pans, utensils and a Keurig coffee maker. Sip your morning coffee from the outdoor seating on the balcony while taking in the ocean breeze. The laundry room is right off of the dining area. It has a full-size washer, dryer and cabinet space. There are two bedrooms on this floor. The first bedroom (BR1) has a Queen bed, TV, dresser, nightstand and closet. The second bedroom (BR2) has a Full-size bed, wall-mounted TV, nightstand and closet. Both bedrooms share a hall bathroom which has a pedestal sink and a large tile shower with a glass enclosure. Upstairs on the third level is the Master retreat (BR3). There is a King size bed, TV, nightstand and chest. In the corner is a sitting area with two chairs by the windows for reading and relaxing. The roomy ensuite bathroom has double vanities, a tub and a large separate walk-in shower. There is extra counter space for your toiletries when getting ready. The downstairs bedroom (BR4) has a Full bed and a full bathroom. Both adults and kids will love the garage game room. Enjoy competitive games of cornhole, washers and ping pong. Venture out the second-floor back balcony to find the detached apartment. The quaint living area has a modern sofa with a lounger on the end and a TV. The kitchenette has a sink, microwave, dishwasher and regular coffee maker. The bedroom has a Full-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a stand-alone shower with a glass door. No need to leave when you have a private pool, a fenced-in backyard, outdoor seating and a propane grill for your cooking needs. There is parking for 4 vehicles, 2 in front and 2 on the side.

It’s a very nice place, but I think it requires some maintenance, I’d like to share photos of what I think, but here is a list:1) in one room the lights were out, you need to change them2) the coming in that room was fixed, but wasn’t painted, it was only painted with the primer3) there were no hangers at all4) the gill need to be cleaned or renovated

Family beach trip

The house was very comfortable and roomie enough for all families. I did notice several cigarette butts laying around the property when we got there they didn’t bother us but I just wanted to make sure that we weren’t held responsible since lease agreement was clear on no evidence of smoking. Also, the master bedroom TV was not working and there were no batteries in any of the remotes. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at this property.

The condition of the house was far from what was shown on the listing. When we checked in we discovered the AC in the guest house was out with 2 replacement window units that could not keep up with the mid July Texas heat. The guest house bathroom? Broken shower door, bugs, exposed attic. Aside from the AC being out, the 5th bedroom downstairs with the bunk beds was hardly a bedroom and more like a hallway. The area is totally separate from the main house. There is a huge window in this living quarters that lacks a blind so the sun blares right inside. To make it even worse, the mattresses do not fit the bunk bed and the bunk bed is not constructed very well. The bunk bed literally moves upon contact.Sadly, the rest of the house wasn’t any better. The sheets had to be washed upon arrival. They were noticeably dirty. There was a chair with a broken leg in the living room, ants and cockroaches throughout the house, handrails on the outside stair case that were not secured. We had a guest fall one morning as a result. Top it off, there is clearly mold growing inside the house. We reached out to VRBO and the property management company upon arrival to let them know about all of the issues we encountered and their response was too bad you should have known this when booking. They couldn’t relocate us due to a lack of availability as expected in July in Port A and half of our group had to pay over 2k for a new place to stay that week.

Overall great place

Nice property. Pool was refreshing. Spacious and convenient. Had pretty much everything you needed. Just no linens for the fold outs that I could locate,but luckily I brought extra of all. Somethings were broke from previous guest like paddles for the ping pong table, so could use, but overall great place and would definitely rent again.

Great Location Great House (but know b4 you go)

Took 4 teens for 4 nights. Top floor is just stairs to the master bedroom, great for parents to be away from kids. Things to note before you go: Master had no closet access so no way to hang up clothes and there were no hangers on the property. Not a cook’s kitchen (minimally stocked for utensils and cookware and no Tupperware for food storage), but enough to get by. Get the golf cart as it’s a much easier trip to the store and the beach is so close. Didn’t use the car once after arriving. We had a lot of issues but the property Mgmt company was super responsive and all houses have issues. Overall it was a nice, big, open house with lots of nooks and crannies for people to have their own space when desired.

Location was great, close to beach and town. Furnishings in kitchen a bit limited limited for large family. Down stairs refrigerator was very dirty did not use. But other than that everything was great. Really liked having a commercial sized ice maker that was a plus.

Nice place, needs attention to detail

While this home was beautiful and had wonderful amenities there were still issues that arose. First and foremost if you use the pool, PLEASE be careful using the VERY SMALL steps. We had two guests slip within the first 24 hours due to the size and how slick the steps were. Both got scratched up and bruised. The owners should seriously consider having the pool resurfaced with something not as slick to prevent future (and potentially worse) injuries. Secondly, we had to reset the breaker because none of the lights in the bedrooms were working and I believe this also accounted for the ice machine not working. We did report the ice machine and they had someone come out the next day to take a look and apparently it was the GFI outlet that needed to be reset - not a huge deal, but also not something you should have to mess with while on vacation. Lastly, while I know we came during peak season and they don’t have time to deep clean the house after each guest, the ceiling fans had MONTHS of dust on them and the return vents had MOLD! Please replace the return vents and clean the fans, these are simple things that have clearly been overlooked. Overall we had a good stay, but will definitely be more diligent when looking at the photos of the home before booking.

The property was everything we had hoped for. Great location! Loved that it was in a quite neighborhood! The private pool was a big win!!! The ping pong table and games were such an added bonus kept all the men happy! And only 2 blocks from the beach and peer where great! We will definitely look at visiting this one again!

Wonderful experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Property was beautifully kept and very roomy. We had a party of 14 and there wasn’t an instance when we felt we were on top of each other. Management was very responsive with concerns and they were extremely accommodating . Highly recommend this site !

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and was perfect for our group. Everyone had a comfortable bed. The house was clean. The decor and furniture made you feel at home. We had a couple of issues that could have prevented with a property manual. When we first arrived and turned on the television, it had a clear picture but no sound. We checked mute buttons and everything we could think of; after spending much time we called the manufacturer as this was the only other option. The support center spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with us until issue was finally resolved. We were also not notified about a WiFi password. We dealt with a leak coming from the roof since it rained. Another problem we encountered was when we were ready to cook dinner, we had issues with the Jenn-Air oven. We called the rental agent and he called a technician out and said it would be 30 min to an hour before someone would arrive. We were pleased that tech arrived with 20 min. The tech was very kind as he worked to resolve the issue. Despite these issues the family was in great spirits because of the size of the home and how beautiful it is. I would recommend this property to a friend if these issues are resolved and with a house manual.
