The Blue Buffalo: New Contruction, Private Pool, Resort Amenities

Newly constructed and ready for the rental season, The Blue Buffalo is in a new section of The Currituck Club resort, known as Windswept Ridge Cottages. It offers beautiful views to all around and overlooks the 10th Fairway of The Currituck Club golf course. [Note: no dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

Beds: 3 Kings (2) Masters, 1 Pyramid Bunk Set with Trundle (Double); 11 Towel Sets provided

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room includes a living area with flat-screen TV, dining area that will seat 8-10 and a kitchen island that has 4 bar stools. The back deck faces south and has an outdoor table to enjoy sunshine and the surrounding views. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a beverage center for cold drinks and beverages. The one bedroom on this floor is a King Master Suite (shower) and there is a half bath is next to the kitchen area.

MID LEVEL:
On this level, there is a King Master Suite (shower/tub combo) with deck access to the front of the house and a King bedroom that has access to the back covered deck. A hall bath (shower/tub combo) is shared with the Pyramid Bunk bedroom that has Trundle (Double) which is known as the kids room.

GROUND LEVEL:
A spacious den on this level offers another place to relax indoors and has a large flat-screen TV. The garage has a Ping Pong table; it is not available for parking. The fenced pool deck will allow the entire family to enjoy the 12' x 23' private pool (open May to mid-October). An outside shower is available to shower off after beach-going. There is parking for 2-3 vehicles in the driveway.

EXTRAS:
As guests within The Currituck Club, a premier-gated community and resort, your family can use its various amenities including free trolley service to the beach access and beach valet service (summer months only), a Clubhouse with on-site dining, a large community pool with kiddie pool at the main entrance, a Fitness Center, and courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball and pickleball. There are planned kids' activities offered during the summer and paths for walking and bike riding. Golfers in the family can make reservations to play the 18-hole course that is landscaped throughout the resort with sound and ocean views.

Beautiful new home with fully stocked kitchen and kid friendly plates & utensils. Pool at the house was chilly so would definitely purchase heat next time. Lots of stairs for the little ones (and the grandparents) but overall wonderful stay with a quick 5 min drive to beach access. Kids also loved the bigger neighborhood pool and playground! Construction near by for the other new homes going in didn’t bother us at all bc we were mostly gone all day and the kids loved watching the machines and trucks.

Pros: New and clean.Three king beds with comfortable mattresses and nice bedding. Great indoor and outdoor (deck) furniture.Well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, cups, pans etc.Great view of entire tee/fairway/hole.Nice to access club amenities.Conveniently near grocery options. No bugs, which was amazing.Kids loved counting turtles in the pond with behind the property. Cons: No enclosed outdoor shower- it’s a spigot on the wall with a soap dish and seems like an after thought and, for us, is a deal breaker. The pool deck is small for the furniture and you lose half of the space when the sprinklers turn on at intervals throughout the day.No ground level restroom and we missed having a small refrigerator/wet bar area on the ground level which makes pool days much more enjoyable without having to go up and down for restroom/snacks. Privacy was an issue- several homes look down into the yard and pool area and you can see straight into the home next door that didn’t seem to have blinds. Also, there is quite a bit construction next door and in the surrounding court that added noise and lots of foot and car traffic that impacted our enjoyment of the property.Overall we had a nice time here. Probably not the perfect house for us but I can see how people could really love it especially if there are golfers in the group.

We had a few frogs visit, saw several turtles in the pond out back, found a huge Eastern Rhinoceros Beetle on the hammock and enjoyed watching all kind of birds including a few white herons.
there is no direct view of sunrise or sun set but we still caught this view on the last evening.

Great week at Corolla

The house was really nice. Having 2 masters another bath and half bath was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pool and sitting out on the deck in the am and at night. The only thing that was not enticing was the porta John on the construction site next to the house we rented.

Nice stay in a new property

Overall our week was great. House was clean (it's brand new), house fully equipped. A lot of stairs. House could use some shade poolside. Only negative comment: house was not ready on time due to cleaning staff. Currituck Club should rethink the naming of street. We were confused as well as company delivering golf cart. Overall I recommend staying at this property.
