Welcome to Paradise at Blue Fin, a beautifully renovated oceanfront vacation home on the 4x4 beaches of Carova Beach, Northern Outer Banks, North Carolina. This 6-bedroom, 2,525 sq ft beach house sleeps 12 and has been thoughtfully updated throughout — new kitchen, new heatable private pool, new hot tub, updated bathrooms, new furniture, and new lighting. Panoramic Atlantic views span the entire east side of the home. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is required; the property sits approximately 9.5 miles up the 4x4 beach. Three-night stays available in spring and fall.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements
Six bedrooms sleep 12 guests across two levels. The top level features a queen bedroom with private west-facing deck and shared bath. The second level offers five bedrooms: a large king suite with circular wall of windows, private bath, and south deck access; a queen room and twin bunk room with twin trundle sharing a bath, both with smart TVs and private east deck access; a second queen room with private west deck; and a duo-bunk room with double bottom bunk and twin top bunk. The two remaining rooms share a bath between them.
New Heatable Pool & Hot Tub
The brand new private heatable pool and new hot tub make Paradise at Blue Fin one of the most updated oceanfront rentals on the 4x4 beach. Pool heating available for a fee. Relax in the hot tub on the third-level deck while stargazing or watching the sunrise over the Atlantic.
Renovated Kitchen & Dining
The brand new fully equipped kitchen delights even the most demanding chef, with a reverse osmosis drinking water faucet and refrigerator filter for fresh water. The dining area seats 12, and two extra full-size refrigerators on the first level provide ample food storage for a full week's stay.
Beach Access & Outdoor Spaces
A beautifully lit private walkway over the oceanfront dune leads directly to the beach, with rinse-off spigots along the way. An outdoor shower on the second-level deck, gas grill, and two beach season passes complete the outdoor setup. Smart TVs in the living room and four of six bedrooms, plus a TV and futon on the first level, keep everyone entertained.

Great location for a family vacation.

The house has everything that you need to have an amazing family vacation. First time to OBX and luckily, we picked a home in the 4x4 area. Views and location are fantastic from sunup to sundown. Having a heated pool and hot tub are a must after a day on the beach to enjoy the evening. Wish we could have stayed two weeks.

What a great house!

We highly recommend Paradise at Blue Fin for your family stay. This house had everything we forgot to bring! Lots of childproofing was a huge help with our 2 boys. The property owners were really great people too!

I stay at Paradise at Blue Fin was very enjoyable. The house was very clean and well kept. The pillows could have been more comfortable but the kitchen was well stocked. We had a wonderful week at this house.

Clean and wonderful

Property was beautiful and clean. My family had a wonderful time ponies came right by the property and dolphins spotted right out in the ocean multiple times. Property itself was just as described enough cooking space to feed all 10 of us and enough privacy we weren't tripping all over one another. I will return hopefully soon!! Thanks for the memories!!

Amazing oceanfront home!!

We loved the location of this beautiful remodeled home where we walked to the beach daily. It has everything you will need for cooking to beach chairs! The third floor is very open and bright and has amazing views of the ocean with a boardwalk to the beach! We enjoyed the extensive decks all around the home! We will definitely be rebooking this home because it’s an excellent place to unwind ,listen to the ocean and to see the wild horses!!!

Great Location and loved the heated pool.

Our overall stay at Blue Fin was good. My family really enjoyed the heated pool, especially during the cooler days of May. I did think that the pictures of Blue Fin were misleading. Once we got there, I noticed that there were some structural damages that were not addressed property which to us affected the presentation and esthetics of the property. Honestly, I think the price point doesn't match how the property looks and what it has to offer. It was nice to get away for a week but we won't be renting this house again.

Stunning Views

This property offers the most beautiful views in a peaceful setting. The property had quite obviously been recently updated. The home was beautifully decorated, well-equipped, clean and inviting. The view from the gorgeous upper level is just extraordinary! During our visit, some of the horses grazed in the yard before heading out to the beach. We enjoyed the hot tub, the hammock and the binoculars. We were impressed with the provision made for families with children-from the outlet covers, high chairs, deck railings and gate, toys and child friendly tableware, the owners have made every effort to welcome the youngest members of your family to their home. We had a few issues but nothing major. Our one main issue was the upstairs fridge was not working properly nor was it making ice. The owners were great about sending someone out to fix it however there was a storm about to hit so we just moved our food to the downstairs fridge. The hot water didn’t last long, so if you didn’t shower first you were taking a cold shower. I personally think the lower level should be a game room. It was kind of just space that’s unused.
