Appartamento Marte is located in the residential area of Sagnino in Como, known for its tranquility and beautiful hillside views. The location allows you to enjoy the peace and quiet while being a short distance from the center of Como and its numerous tourist attractions.

GETTING AROUND

For guests\' convenience, we recommend arriving by car. This makes it easy to reach Como and other tourist attractions in the area. Traveling to and from Sagnino is also possible by public transport, with a nearby bus stop that conveniently connects to the center of Como. Bus tickets can be purchased directly on board (cash only) or at the main bus station in Como. Please note that bus services are not very frequent, and the service ends around 8 PM. Taxi services are also available but may not always be easily found in the area.

From Como, it is easy to travel by train to Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). There are also public ferries that reach other lakeside locations from the pier in Como city center. Note that long lines for ticket purchases may occur, but tickets can also be purchased online on the Navigazione Laghi website.

The nearest airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Orio al Serio in Bergamo. Shuttle services to and from the airports can be easily arranged at an additional cost. For further questions regarding transportation and transfers, do not hesitate to contact us; we will be happy to assist you!

TIPS

To get around and walk along Lake Como, especially in small towns, it is necessary to wear comfortable shoes.

There are many public drinking water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless otherwise indicated. Tap water is also drinkable. You can bring your refillable bottle!

In Italy, many shops (especially small ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be sure to plan your shopping accordingly.

Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. In Como, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is not advisable and is mostly prohibited. Locals and visitors also love to visit Nesso, where the more adventurous can dive into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.

The property is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding Pre-Alps do not seem very high, but the climate is still influenced by nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Pay particular attention to weather conditions during excursions and bring warm and waterproof clothing!
