The space
Treat your friends, family, and traveling companions at our stunning and HUGE three-story home. We promise that the open floor house with large bedrooms offers plenty of space for everyone in your group.
The first floor has large living room, a center room with a splendid bay window perfect for playing games, a HUGE 8-chair dining table with additional chairs, and a beautiful kitchen with large island and quartz countertops.

Want home cooked meal? How about cooking a memorable dinner in our versatile kitchen with top of the line stainless steel appliances that make cooking and baking so enjoyable!

The second floor has master bedroom that has a KING-SIZED BED with a private bathroom, two additional bedrooms have queen beds and a twin bed, a large bathroom with FREESTANDING tub, and laundry room a with washer and dryer.

The third floor has a large bedroom with two queen beds and twin bed with a trundle, a full bathroom, and an additional space with a queen bed. All beds have comfortable mattress and linen.

At the end of the day, you can enjoy your favorite shows on our THREE large smart 4K HD Roku TVs with streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube.

No worries about parking! There is an OVERSIZED TWO-CAR GARAGE and plenty of parking space on the adjacent streets.

The front porch and back patio are large and provide good outdoor space.
Lastly, we must stress that we do NOT allow parties. We are adamant about only welcoming families and groups who are looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful home and the amenities it has to offer.

You will have full access to the entire house. Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a self-check-in. One day prior to your arrival you will receive an email that walks you through the process. If you still have questions, please contact us!
Other things to note
★ PETS are welcome!
Pets are welcome, but not in the third floor. No more than two pets at a time. A one-time pet fee applies: $75 for stays less than 30 nights and $120 for stays 30 to 90 nights.

★ NO PARTIES ALLOWED
We required you to enjoy and love our home. We must remind you that only registered guests will be allowed over while you are renting our property. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. If you’re not sure if your stay falls under these restrictions, please consult before booking.

★ NO SMOKING
No smoking inside the property -- $750 fine for violation.

★ CLEANING FEES
Your cleaning fee pays for thorough cleaning and sanitation of all floors, counters, bathrooms, and linen service.

★ SECURITY CAMERAS
For safety purposes, we have 2 cameras installed: one near the front door facing the front yard and another near the backdoor facing the backyard.

★ Please note: Any violation of the house rules will cost the security deposit, and it will be no refundable.

Family Getaway Weekend

Had a wonderful weekend in Columbus with the extended family and this house worked great. Big bedrooms, large sitting area with TV for hanging out. Big table so we could sit together. Location was central to everywhere we wanted to go.

Nice remodel

This was an excellent stay. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. I would refer friends here and would stay again. The pictures were accurate and the home is nicely remodeled. The one piece of feedback was we didn’t have all the pots needed to cook food to accommodate our large party.

Great Stay!

We stayed here for the weekend because we were attending an event at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. The location was great and convenient! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. I thought maybe the neighbordhood would be loud since this houses are close to each other, but it was quiet and peaceful. Lots of restuarants and groceries to choose from as well.

A Great Place to Gather!

“The Gathering Place” was a great place for our family to gather! My sisters and I spent 4 days in this fabulous home. The photographs that are posted on the VRBO site are a true representation of the home. The home is clean, comfortable, and spacious. It is a historic home in a historic neighborhood that has been beautifully reclaimed, rehabilitated, remodeled, and restored. The home is well supplied and equipped with many of the comforts of home. I am impressed that when we needed a snack bag clip, we found one in the kitchen! My favorite detail is that make-up face cloths (a grey face towel embroidered with the words “make-up”) is supplied in every set of bath linens placed on every bed in the house. The beds are comfortable, and the bed linens are luxurious! The bath linens are soft and lavish! Two of the bathrooms are small, but very useable. All the bathrooms are thoughtfully retrofitted into this historic home. The host was responsive and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and we will include “The Gathering Place in our plans for our next visit to Columbus, OH.

Honestly the BEST host we have ever experienced!!!! Communication was amazing!!!!!! The house was perfect! Plenty of room for large family/friends. Beds are sooo comfortable. Great House , Bad Neighborhood

The house was great and we did enjoy our stay, but the neighborhood was not safe. We saw police close by each day. Drunk neighbors threatening to stab each other, a police chase through the neighborhood and a police walking around with a bullet proof vest looking for someone. It’s a shame that such a nice property is located in a bad neighborhood. The property manager was wonderful. Hopefully the neighbors will clean up the area! The garage was a safe place for our cars!

My family enjoyed the stay. The only issue we had there as no propane to grill, and no time to rectify that with the property manager before we had to feed everyone, so they may have corrected it for us right away if we had. Plenty of room for our group of 11.

Perfect and comfortable for large group reunion

This beautifully furnished and decorated house was as pictured and described, fully met our expectations as the place where 5 of us met from all over the country for a high school reunion. We were able to stay up late and catch up with each other in comfort, cook and share meals at the large dining table. Six beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Linens were high quality, clean, and comfortable. We had plenty of (very clean) bathrooms for our entire group, no waiting your turn. The owner was very responsive to our requests and friendly, checked in with us after our first day to see if anything was needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to freeways. We used the 2 car garage and there was ample street parking, right by the house. It was too rainy and cold for us to use the outdoor patio, but it looked inviting and there’s a grill in the garage. We felt safe taking walks in the neighborhood and had no trouble with neighbors or the neighborhood. We all agreed that we hope stay here again for our next reunion in 5 years.

Nice, updated property, but area is not great

The property itself was nice (had been updated, was clean, etc.), but it was not located in a nice area of town. We were expecting the area to be up and coming based on the information in the posting, but it was still in what seemed to be a pretty rough area (we observed multiple police cars and ambulance stop in the neighborhood throughout the weekend and watched a neighbor get arrested as we first checked in). The only issue with the house itself was there was no wine opener (which was an easy fix!) and the toilet became clogged. Everything else was as advertised in the posting and the host was very responsive/ easy to work with. Perhaps if it’s all adults staying at the property then the location might not matter as much, but we didn’t feel particularly safe at this property (particularly because we were traveling with children).

Beautiful home perfect for family gathering!

Six queen-sized beds, 3.5 bathrooms, a 2 car garage with plenty of on-street parking, an open floor plan, a large (and gorgeous!) kitchen, a living room with plenty of seating to watch one of 3 TVs, and the entire attic loft made this home the perfect setting for our family reunion! The beds were wonderfully comfortable with super soft linens and duvets. Everything was sparkling clean (including the refrigerator and all bathrooms) and beautifully updated. Heck, this house has a freestanding, deep soaking tub in one of the bathrooms that was an unexpected and delightful surprise! We appreciated the multiple coffee/tea makers and the k-cups and tea bags. The house is in an up and coming neighborhood with beautiful housing stock being renovated and preserved. The WiFi was easy to connect to and the passwords worked on the first try - a rare occurrence based on our past experiences in renting other homes. The owner was friendly and customer-oriented. Thanks for providing the setting for our best and most enjoyable family gathering EVER!
