Enjoy the small-town vibe of Woodland Park at this three-story home away from home! Upon entering, you'll be surrounded by that typical rustic charm of a cabin that will surely help you unwind in peace. The first level of this secluded retreat features plenty of light coming from tall windows and convenient living space with two recliners and a set of retro-looking sofas. This room gets its warmth from the space heater.

The second and main level of the home is where you can find the kitchen, dining area, laundry nook, and one full bathroom. The kitchen comes equipped with all the basics and essentials to prepare everything that comes to mind - the French door fridge and dishwasher will be quite convenient for storing groceries and helping with the dishes. The main dining table seats three, and the kitchen island offers two more spaces. Off the kitchen is the second-floor deck. The first-floor deck, accessed by the second-floor deck, features an outdoor dining area for four people, an umbrella, and a private gas grill.

Additional amenities include a small nook with a washer/dryer.

The retreat's secluded location is perfect for those in need to get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful and quiet escapade. Downtown Woodland Park is six and a half miles north with endless dining options, coffee shops, convenience stores, and Golden Meadows Dog Park, the perfect place to hang out with your pup. Traveling with kids or kids at heart? Make sure you stop by the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center for a peek at all things prehistoric. Colorado Wolf Adventures is a must-see for wildlife enthusiasts; you can even pet wolves!

Needs updated. Especially propane gas kitchen stove that leaked gas. No dresser drawers. Back door didn't secure properly. Dead bugs on floor. Master shower head clogged and didn't work properly. Clsey doors challenging to operate.

Scary

The main thing was that you had to travel a very long, steep, dirt road to get to property. Since this was not in the description we did not know we would need an off road type vehicle. The house itself was in bad need of update. And some repairs as siding was falling off. It was somewhat clean but just worn out. Mattresses were hard as rocks. Felt like travel trailer mattresses. Patio furniture cushions were all torn up. We did not actually stay at this house because of road situation. We were expecting rain that evening and didn’t think we would be able to get out in our vehicle if the road got slick and muddy. Vacasa actually moved us to another home, which had cleanliness issues, after I had to pay for 2 days hotel stay. Sorry I could not be more positive. House has a lot of potential. I just expected what I seen in pictures. One happy moment, we seen deer in the yard before we left.

They had no hot water , kitchen with old left overs in the oven, smelly and with mold

We had to call for assistance because it had no hot water. They didn’t relocated us, didn’t come to solve the problem and still reluctant to reimburse us. I don’t know why VRBO has this house to offer here. I don’t trust VRBO after this nightmare.

What else can go wrong

We chose this property because we wanted a hot tub and fireplace. Hot tub didn’t work properly and fireplace was only for looks. Electrical outlets worked one day then not the next. Bottom fell off the closet door when opened. Base boards coming off. There was an 8” X 2” chunk of mortar missing from the living room floor partially covered by a rug in the living room. Most of the outlets in the kitchen didn’t work. Called to report issues and was told it would be reported to maintenance. Called back next day to try to get a time frame when repair person would be out. I was told that I would be bumped up to the top of the list since this was my last day. My family went out, I stayed behind waiting on maintenance. After waiting for 5 hours called again and I as told that there were no maintenance people coming out and the so called manager that told me that knew no one was coming yet left for the weekend without ever notifying me. I am thoroughly disgusted with the condition of the property and the indifference of Christine the so called manager that lied to me.

Wonderful!

Everything was amazing! The hot tub works well enough, the view was beautiful, and the house was wonderful to stay in. Just a heads up, make sure you have the right kind of car/tires to make it to the property. The roads are winding and fairly steep. Add some snow, and it’s likely your car may get stuck. If you have questions for property management, be warned that you probably won’t get an answer.

Pretty but bad communication

The hot tub did not work for the 1st 4 days of our stay. Had to make several calls and texts before we got it taken care of. The TV did not work the entire time of our stay. The upstairs bathtub had such a bad clog that after every shower we had to use a plunger to get it to drain. Communication with the management team was absolutely not the best.

Perfect location

The place is fantastic. The drive from the highway is beautiful. Mid week the weather got chilly, and the heat did not work. A call to Vacasa was answered, and the response was that they'd see how fast someone could come out. No other response. We used small radiator heat and a space heater that were provided. But no whole house heat for 3 nights was disappointing. There were 3 spoons in the house to use for meals. The hot tub was difficult to use, and not all jets worked. Aside from the heat, only very minor issues. None would keep us from using this fantastic place again.
