We welcome you to the Hideaway on Little Jay! We are delighted to open our family cabin and share our quiet getaway with you. Enjoy soaring views of Little Jay Gould Lake and abundant nature!

Just minutes from all Grand Rapids and Cohasset have to offer but feels like you are tucked away in the woods, it truly is the best of both worlds

Little Jay Gould is a quiet little lake attached to the Pokegama Lake chain of lakes so you can choose your own lake adventure from the peace of our private beach or take your boat from our dock and head out to enjoy the fun, fishing and food on the 6000+ acres of Pokegama Lake and all connected waterways.

In the winter you have access just across the road directly onto the local snowmobile trails and right onto Pokegama Lake with easy access to the entire Itasca County trail system or fishing anywhere on the lake that the fish are biting!

Our cabin features all of the spaces you need for a large group getaway or treat yourself to a luxurious stay with all of your favorite amenities. Your group can enjoy the open kitchen, dining and great room with loft lounge and gaming areas or if you need a little solitude retreat to one of the five bedrooms or dedicated work space.

Additional features include:
- Five Bedrooms with attached bathrooms plus two pull out sofas
- Seven Bathrooms
- Primary bedroom and both upstairs bedrooms have king beds and ensuite private bathrooms.
- Lower Level bedrooms have queen beds and shared full bathroom
- Canoe, Kayaks, paddle board and life jackets so you can get out on the gorgeous waters of Little Jay Gould Lake

- Access Itasca County’s extensive snowmobile trail system directly from the house. There is plenty of room in our driveway for your trailer, hop across the road and it’s only a short ride across the lake to access the trails

PLEASE NOTE: at this time the fireplace is NOT available for use. At this time the jetted tub in the master bedroom is NOT available for guest use

PLEASE NOTE: Guests are welcome to access the garage space but please refrain from parking vehicles inside the garage as it greatly increases cleaning time and expense. We also ask that you close all garage doors promptly, especially during extreme temperatures, to assist our hearing and cooling systems as well as preventing frozen pipes in cold weather. This also helps to prevent pests (critters) from making themselves at home in the cabin.

Shorter or longer stay options sometimes available upon request, cleaning fees will be adjusted accordingly. Contact us for more information!

The house, garage and all amenities are included so please make yourself feel at home! You will have easy access with a keypad at the front and back doors for self check-in.

Guests can use the garage but please refrain from parking vehicles inside, it increases cleaning time and expense. We ask that you close all garage doors promptly, to assist our hearing and cooling systems and prevent frozen pipes in cold weather and prevent critters from making themselves at home in the cabin.

Please let me know if there is anything that will make your stay better. It is my goal that this space be an escape and retreat for you however I am available at all times for emergencies and during standard hours to answer and resolve any non-emergency issues.

It is extremely helpful to have good contact information available for a member of your party in the event I need to contact you to resolve issues or provide information. If we need to stop by for any reason I will do my best to contact you ahead of time but we will keep any disruptions to an absolute minimum.

We have lawn care and snow removal services weekly or as needed. They may be here for 1-2 hours during your stay. Dates vary depending on weather and demand. If needed they may ask you to move your vehicle, we apologize for any inconvenience but ask that you help us keep the property clean and well maintained

Someone will stop out weekly to pull them to the end of the driveway or back. We will keep disruptions to a minimum but this may occur during your stay. If you have any questions or concerns please let Maria know right away.

The Hideaway on Little Jay is located in a peaceful & quiet lake community.
~All guests must be considerate of others in the neighboring area. Noise disturbances will not be tolerated.(quiet hours are between 10pm-7am).

PLEASE NOTE: At this time the fireplace is NOT available for use. At this time the jetted tub in the primary bedroom is NOT available for guest use

We have cameras monitoring the exterior of the house from multiple angles. These cameras are on at all times

There are several steps required to access the main level of the house, either at the front door or through the lower level and up the main staircase. Additionally there is a long staircase required to access the lake / dock area.

SEASONAL CANCELLATION POLICY IN PLACE:
SUMMER (May - August):
Cancel up to 30 days before check-in for a full refund
Cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, but after the 24-hour cancellation period & receive 50% refund
Cancel less than 14 days before check-in - no refund

WINTER (September - April):
Cancel up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund
Cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, but after the 24-hour cancellation period - receive 50%
Cancel less than 7 days before check-in - no refund

Please respect check-in and check-out times (unless we have agreed on other arrangements)
Any game or fish cleaning must be done outdoors or at the designated fish cleaning table in the garage. PLEASE thoroughly clean the fish cleaning space after use - violations will result in a $200 penalty to cover additional cleaning costs
Please plan to launch any personal motorized watercraft at one of the many public access locations on the lake.
Please use the dryer or cloths line on the west side of the house to dry any wet beach towels and swimsuits, please do not leave wet items sitting on the floor.
Please be careful if moving any furniture so floors are not damaged
The cabin is located in a peaceful & quiet lake community. All guests staying at the home must be considerate of others in the neighboring area. Noise disturbances will not be tolerated. Quiet hours are between 10pm-7am
No Smoking of any kind indoors. Smoking is allowed outdoors by the garage take care to dispose of any smoking related refuse responsibly in the receptacle provided, do not bring it indoors - a $200 penalty will be charged for violations or debris discovered and disposed of by our cleaning crew
No Parties or Events without express permission - please contact us to confirm

Please return all watercraft items to the storage space provided at the bottom of the hill and lock them back up at the end of each day. Failure to do so will result in additional charges
PLEASE BE CAREFUL NEAR THE LAKE AT ALL TIMES - we accept no responsibility for your safety on or near the lake
Absolutely no driving golf balls into the lake from anywhere on the property.
