I booked the Comfort Inn Cleveland Airport through Expedia after calling the hotel directly to confirm shuttle service. Due to prior reviews, I specifically asked if a 9:30 a.m. shuttle would be available and was assured it would be. Based on that confirmation, I booked the room. I also advised we would arrive late due to a major snowstorm and arrived around 3:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, I was told the 9:30 a.m. shuttle was not available and was offered only an earlier or later option, defeating the purpose of choosing this hotel.
The room was in poor condition: beds poorly made, crumbs and garbage on the floor, damaged mirror, broken closet door handle, garbage under the phone, and the room was extremely cold due to the curtain being stuck in the window. I had requested a laundry bag at check-in and was told one would be in the room; there was not.
When I contacted the front desk, no solutions were offered. We were unpacked, had a flight to catch, and I did not want to wake my daughter to move rooms after finally warming the space. A space heater was eventually provided.
Around 4:30 a.m., I discovered the shower head was completely disconnected. A morning staff member was professional and provided a nearby room solely to shower, which was clean and functional.
Shuttle issues continued. I followed ALL instructions and waited over 30 mins, driver had not left! Still had no clear wait time. We paid out-of-pocket for an Uber. This was a disappointing and stressful experience.
