Laurie was a kind, informative and attentive host. We stayed at her beautiful bungalow for a long weekend before our daughter graduated from UGA. The front of the house was perfect for hanging out on the porch, sitting on the deck and the fire pit at night. The inside of the house was very cozy, up to date and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The beds were super comfy too. A short drive to Tallulah falls, many hikes and wineries. It was a perfect weekend and we will definitely come back.

This beautiful cottage is exactly as described and even better. It is not only the hidden garden cottage but it is a hidden gem as well. The cottage is nestled in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located to downtown Clayton, yet it feels like you are far away from everything. The nights were quiet—the morning front porch swing was the perfect cozy coffee/tea sippin’ location. The furnishings and amenities were exceptional. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and well appointed for our needs. You can tell the hosts are invested in creating exceptional stays. Well done! We will be back!!

The bungalow was cozy and charming, with all the modern amenities we needed. As a published decorator, I especially appreciated the thoughtful aesthetics and attention to detail. My husband and I have visited Clayton several times, but this trip we wanted to stay closer to downtown and we loved it! The location was perfect, just a short and easy drive into town with no steep roads, and the wide driveway made parking a breeze. Despite being so convenient, the bungalow still felt very private, nestled among tall trees with beautiful garden views. I especially loved relaxing on the porch. We would definitely love to come back and stay here again!

The Secret Garden delivers!

Lovely cottage and garden within 10 minutes of walking time to town, which has plenty of great shops, restaurants and bars. The kitchen was big! for the size house, and it was well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, and it was nice having the 2 bedrooms with their own en suite. Favorite area was the screen porch with the most inviting nap swing and a cocktail table with rockers to talk about the days activities. Outdoor dining was a bonus. We couldn’t have been more pleased and look forward to returning to Laurie’s secret garden in the mountains. And Laurie? She was just the best; professional, responsive, and most helpful with lots of great recommendations in the area.

What a spot on, well appointed getaway location. 30 minutes to anything and when there ear ringing quiet. We are booking for leaf change. This a great place if you need a disconnect. Great yard. Lucky for me most still blooming.

Secret Garden Bungalow is a Hidden Gem!

This was my second stay at the secret garden. Laurie is a great host and is very responsive.The location is perfect..close to great hiking, beautiful waterfalls, wineries and wonderful restaurants. The cottage is very comfortable, a nice retreat for soaking in the beauty of being surrounded by your own personal garden, relaxing on the porch and being serenaded by the sights and sounds of nature. We look forward to returning again!

Our secret garden house

We first came to this home in winter and it was lovely
but the garden enticed us to come back when everything was in bloom
it did not disappoint! We enjoyed visiting and board games outside and lounged on the swing to read my book. It will not disappoint! We will be back!
