Escape to a serene retreat at this stunning Lake Burton cottage, where modern comfort meets natural beauty in this home that is new to the short term rental market. Lake Burton is known for its crystal clear waters and stunning mountain backdrop. Nestled in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, this 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home offers lake access and a private boat house with boat slip to bring your boat or rent one for your stay. (Boat slip available May 1-Nov 1 when the lake is full). With easy access to outdoor activities like shopping in Clayton, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, horse back riding, visiting the wineries, or dining at farm to table cuisine you can fill your days. End your day hot tubbing, reading a book on the porch or sitting by the fire pit to relax. With an open-concept living area, huge screened in porch, a fully equipped kitchen, this home is perfect for both relaxation and spending time with family and friends. The boat house makes it easy to enjoy the water. En Suite King Bedroom downstairs, Queen Bedroom and Bunk Room upstairs. Bunkroom has 2 bunks: Twin XL over Twin XL. And a Twin over a full with a trundle. Whether you're seeking adventure or peace and quiet, this Lake Burton Cottage provides the perfect space for your getaway.
This home includes jetted hot tub, grill, washer and dryer, smart TVs to access your streaming services, fiber internet, and games. Paddle board, floats, cornhole and outside jenga are included as some of the outdoor entertainment. Depending on the number of guests there may be additional fees assessed. While this home is new to the short term rental market since it was previously a private residence; the owners are experienced with managing a short term rental in another part of Clayton.

The lake house was just perfect and we loved every minute! One person in our group said she slept better here than at home - the ultimate compliment! The screened in porch took center stage though. What a great hang out spot Lots of space inside - plenty of room for all of the cooks in the kitchen. In addition to being ultra clean with extra beds in the bunk bed room to accommodate a crowd, there are so many extra touches that the hosts provides that made our stay feel super special. Plus they were very communicative and helpful with our plans and activities. The house fronts a quiet, calm water canal that opens up to the most spectacular view of the mountains - both in front of and behind you. Hydrangeas are spilling over from the property into the canal. It's gorgeous. The stress just melts away here. We highly, highly recommend!

Great Lake Burton Getaway!

Everything about the house and our stay was perfect! Great location on the water. House was fully equipped with everything our family needed for a last minute lake vacation! Kitchen was newly renovated and had tons of cooking supplies. Great screened in back porch and fire pit that we loved (the host even left us with a s’mores kit!). Master bath was totally renovated and wonderful. Would love to stay here again if it works out!

Lake Burton Gem

Our 4th time back to Burton and loved this home. The owner is very attentive and responded to any questions we had immediately. The interior and exterior are updated and clean. The back porch is relaxing and a great place to take an afternoon nap! The boat house fit our 23' rental boat with no issues, and the canal was deep enough to navigate easily. It was a great stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year.

Spent a long weekend over the Memorial Day holiday at this wonderful water-front home on Lake Burton. The home has some really nice upgrades including a very modern, well-stocked kitchen and a master bath that looks brand new. Our young boys loved the cozy bunkbeds and the large master bedroom was really nice with a king bed and high-end linens. The exterior space was great for kids to spend time in the private hot tub, or do some fishing right off the yard into the canal. Location was great in a very quiet, small residential neighborhood with easy access to most of Lake Burton's marina's and a short drive to downtown for shopping and restaurants. This home will definitely be our new Lake Burton getaway from now on. Thank you.

The most perfect weekend

I cannot say enough great things about this home! From the boat house, the hot tub, to the house cleanliness
 this will absolutely be our go to place to stay when we come to Lake Burton! The kids had an amazing time, my 75 year old mother in law loved it, and my husband and I enjoyed it so much! Amanda, thank you so much for making our stay so perfect!

A Perfect Mountain-Lake Getaway!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful Lake Burton cottage! The home recently hit the VRBO market and so glad we gave it a try! Everything here is so well thought out and welcoming, clearly maintained by owners who know how to create a great guest experience.The house is spotless and beautifully decorated. The open-concept living area and screened-in porch were perfect for our family time and relaxing after long days on the water or exploring the nearby trails. The kitchen had everything we needed (and more), and the bedrooms were super comfortable.We loved having lake access and rented a boat at one of the nearby marinas. It made it so easy to get out on the water each day. In the evenings, we rotated between soaking in the hot tub, sitting around the fire pit, and enjoying quiet moments on the porch.Location-wise, you’re close to Clayton for shopping, wineries, and great dining options. But honestly, we barely wanted to leave the house! Whether you're looking for outdoor adventure or just a peaceful escape, this home truly has it all.

Perfect cottage for a relaxing stay

We spent time here during Spring Break and enjoyed every second of it. The home is beautifully done and every detail was considered. Our favorite space was the huge screened-in porch. We ate and read books out there then star gazed from the hot tub at night. It's located on a quiet street among the woods. Downtown Clayton is close enough with lots of yummy eats and good shopping. We would 100% stay here again.
