The Space:
Welcome to your stylish city getawayâa thoughtfully designed two-storey townhouse that offers the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and modern living.
On the ground floor, you'll find a cozy living area with a comfortable sofa and a Smart TV, ideal for streaming your favorite shows or enjoying a relaxed evening in. The open-plan layout leads into a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, kettle, toaster, and all the cookware and utensils youâll needâwhether you're preparing a quick breakfast or a full dinner.
Step outside into your private, fully fenced backyardâa rare city-center feature. This quiet outdoor space includes seating for four, making it the perfect spot for morning coffee, a glass of wine at sunset, or just some fresh air and privacy.
Head upstairs to discover a bright and serene bedroom with a queen-size bed, soft linens, and plenty of natural light. Itâs designed to ensure a restful nightâs sleep after a day of sightseeing, business meetings, or weekend market hopping.

The Neighborhood:
Staying in Christchurch Central, you really get the best of both worldsâeverything is just a short walk or bike ride away, but it still feels relaxed and easygoing.
You're right on Manchester Street, which makes getting around super simple. In the mornings, I love grabbing coffee from one of the local favorites like Child Sister or Unknown Chapterâboth just a few minutes' walk from the front door. If you're into fresh produce or unique eats, Riverside Market is a must-visit. It's a buzzing spot where locals grab lunch, browse boutique stores, or meet up with friends over drinks.
The Avon River winds through the area and is perfect for a stroll or even punting if you're feeling touristy (locals still do it!). And if you're into art and culture, youâre spoiledâChristchurch Art Gallery, street murals, and pop-up exhibitions are all part of the local vibe here.
Thereâs always something happening nearbyânight markets, festivals, live music, and great eats on New Regent Street. But despite being in the thick of it, the street where this townhouse sits is surprisingly peaceful. Itâs that kind of hidden-gem location locals loveâclose to the action, but tucked away just enough to feel like home.
Getting Around:
One of the best things about staying here is how easy it is to get aroundâno car needed if you're planning to explore central Christchurch!
- On Foot: Most of the cityâs top attractionsâRiverside Market, New Regent Street, Cathedral Square, and the Botanic Gardensâare all within a 10â15 minute walk. Itâs a flat, walkable area with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops along the way.
- By Bike or Scooter: Christchurch is a super bike-friendly city. Youâll often see locals riding electric scooters or bikes around town. You can easily rent one using apps like Beam or Lime, and there are plenty of places to park them near the townhouse.
- Public Transport: Bus stops are just a few minutesâ walk away, and buses are frequent and reliable. The Bus Interchange (main terminal) is also nearby if you're heading further across the city or to the suburbs.
- Driving & Parking: If youâre renting a car or driving, street parking is available (some paid, some free depending on time/day). Free street parking is available but limited.
Being right in the city means you can access main roads and highways quickly for day trips to places like Lyttelton, Akaroa, or the Port Hills.
