Lower Barn is a beautifully refurbished Cotswold holiday home which sleeps four guests, in two cosy bedrooms, with one family bathroom. This 200 year old Cotswold stone barn has been lovingly renovated whilst still keeping many character features. With its central location and designated parking space, it is the perfect base from which to explore Chipping Norton, the surrounding beautiful Cotswold countryside and the wealth of popular sights in the area. The outdoor patio is a lovely space to enjoy the sunnier weather and relax whilst dining alfresco. Even welcoming one medium sized dog, Lower Barn is a real home away from home to share with loved ones.

This two bedroom holiday home in Chipping Norton is ideally located for exploring the North Cotswolds' attractions and countryside with loved ones. The pet friendly accommodation is laid out as follows:

Top location, quiet , right in town centre with parking

It was a wonderful fully equipped rental cottage. Quiet but right in the centre. The parking was very useful. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone especially families with children

Great stay

A great wee place to stay very central chippy Norton is lovely and the people are so friendly. Would definitely recommend. StayCotswold where great at keeping in touch with us had to contact them on the first night thinking they would get back in touch with me the next morning but they got back to me that night and even fallowed it up with a phone call. Fantastic service

Great location and cosy cottage

Really enjoyed our stay in chipping norton, the cottage was in a great location and the cottage was really nice. Not much lounge space but we were out most of the time so didn't really matter, bathroom was lovely and big.

Comfortable, high quality cottage

This cottage was ideal for our family visit. The adults in our group loved the king size beds and underfloor heating and the kids loved the stairs and big bathtub. The location was excellent, with a door opening right on the high street so it was a short walk to everything we needed. The only downside was that it was a bit tricky to find and some might find the parking spot tricky. Would definitely recommend and will stay again next time!

Beautiful cottage in fantastic location

Lovely cottage, really well located just off the main street. Big, comfortable beds, gorgeous main bathroom, lovely kitchen and comfortable living/dining area. Big bonus having some outside space, which had the sun all day. Minor quibbles: could do with more hangers and some drawers in the bedrooms, the bathroom is plenty big enough for a walk-in shower but there is only a shower over the bath. Plus the parking is very tricky.

Cottage in quiet location

We were a couple with 2 dogs (asked permission in advance) staying for 4 nights. Lovely cottage with plenty of room for two. Central location with some good 1-2hr circular walks. It’s a five minute walk into the centre of Chippy which has a nice Italian restaurant Alberto’s and a market on a Wednesday. Traffic is heavy through the town, as is with most of the Cotswolds villages, but you cannot hear the traffic in the cottage. We had beautiful weather so the trails were not muddy.

Fine stay at Chipping Norton

The lower barn was compact with 2 bedrooms a bathroom and downstairs toilet. Compact but comfortable the property was exceptionally clean with good quality beds and furniture. Down a quiet alleyway and right behind the high street, thus little gem of a property was great for the two of us. Only slight downside is finding the property and the parking is a bit tight. Suggest the location is better described as the road behind the high street

Delightful bolthole for a weekend with friends

We had a wonderful stay at Lower Barn. Instructions for finding it & parking were clear and helpful. Great communication from the maintenance team to let us know it was ready and a nice surprise to have a later checkout on Sunday! Gorgeous cottage, it was lovely & warm inside which was a welcome respite from the -5 frost! Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a weekend. The beds were also really comfortable! Perfect location for exploring Chipping Norton and surrounding areas - lots of supermarkets close by and we had a great meal at the Blue Boar pub a 2 minute walk away. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose!

The instructions were very helpful. The narrow alleyway was difficult to find and would have been difficult to manoeuvre had there been more cars parked. The bedding and beds were very comfortable and we could not fault it. Thank you for a peleasant stay

Perfect!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lower Barn. The house was very clean and had a lovely modern and cosy vibe. It was spacious for the two of us and our dog and well located in a quiet spot just set back from the high street. It’s a short drive away from nearby villages like Moreton-in-the-Marsh and Stow-in-the-Wold etc. We were able to go on two very long dog walks without needing to take the car so it’s in a great position if you like walking. The car parking space was a huge benefit, albeit in a very tight spot, and everything we needed was provided in the kitchen.

Comfortable cottage.

Lower Barn is a comfortable, cosy and pleasantly decorated cottage. The location is great as you can access the High Street directly through a gate. Parking is a little bit tight, but understandable given the cottage's location at the heart of the town. Unfortunately when we arrived we had no internet and no mobile signal. This also meant that we could not use the television. We attempted to reboot the WiFi, but could not fix it. When we went out I sent an email to the cottage contact and then texted them the following morning. I have never received a reply. My husband needed the internet for work and as we didn't feel the problem would be fixed on a weekend we sadly went home early and did not stay for our second night.

A beautiful barn in a great location

We booked this barn as it was dog friendly, a good location, reasonably priced compared to others and looked clean and tidy from the photos - it certainly didn’t disappoint. It is tucked away down a private driveway with a few others barns making it peaceful and secluded, exactly what we was looking for. Upon arrival the barn was clean and well presented and definitely gave that home from home feel with an added touch of Cotswolds cosiness. The bed was super comfy and the bed linen great quality making a good nights sleep. Although the outside space is a courtyard, it is still plenty for the dogs. There was concerns over the parking space before arrival due to other reviews as we have a large car (Range Rover if this helps anyone get an idea) but it was absolutely fine, just make sure you turn around first and reverse in, there is plenty of space. Check-in and check out was so simple and easy. Location is ideal to get to anywhere with ease and being a 2 min walk from the high street is super convenient. We would definitely come back here and have recommended Lower Barn to family and friends.
