Sit back and relax on the large screened porch and watch the sunset over the water. This renovated island home offers beautiful water views from most rooms, including the master bedroom. Launch your kayak or canoe across the street, walk to town and the fireman's carnival, and best of all, bring your dog!.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The house is situated in a lovely spot. The maintenance is shoddy. We arrived late at night and immediately stepped in dog waste on the path.The kitchen closets were in a shambles--pots, pans, etc just shoved in. Everything needed to be washed before using. There was ample evience of infestation, with mouse droppings and chewed condiment packages in drawers. The property manager was quite defensive when I pointed this out on leaving (the dogs must have been from a neighbor, the property was inspected, I should have called, etc.) We arrived very late at night and I didn't want to spend a part of our few days arguing with a management company.The choice to not include a starter pack of toilet paper and paper towels is disappointing and discourages guests from leaving potentially useful items behind (foil, trash bags, etc). I think guests would be more generous if there was a stock of useful items to start with.We stayed in the same house last Thanksgiving without the mouse infestation issue. I'm not sure what has happened since? Maybe a new owner (the house was for sale last year)

This was our second time staying at Miss Agnes with our dogs. We love the charming old house especially the screened front porch. The sunset views can not be beat! The fenced back yard is great for the dogs and the neighborhood is very walkable.

Very Pleasant Stay

The property was well-kept and had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. It was very convenient to have a fenced in backyard for pets. We would definitely stay again!

Thanksgiving Holiday stay

Our family had a nice getaway for the Thanksgiving holiday week. The house we stayed in was wonderful, historical, and has beautiful water views. Each evening, we watched the sunsets on the water from the front porch. The location was perfect!

Smelly on South Main

We choose Miss Agnes because of the location on South Main. Down past the hotels, it offers the possibility of beautiful sunsets each evening. The weather wasn’t on our side this trip😟. The house is pet friendly, although we didn’t have any pets with us on this trip. The very old rugs on the first floor ( 2 in the kitchen and one in living room) were very urine stained and smelled horribly. You could see the stains on the carpets and the smell was hard to ignore. We couldn’t eat at the kitchen table because it was so offensive. I contacted Harbour Rentals and they said they would notify the owner, but did nothing to help our stay. Between the poor weather and the closed up smelly house, we left the island early very disappointed. We have rented yearly at least once a season for close to 20 years. Harbour rentals and Miss Agnes is one to avoid at all costs unless you have pets and can’t smell! Very disappointing!

The view from every room, but especially, the front, screened in porch is awesome!

Clean, comfortable with all the conveniences, including a dishwasher, washer/dryer and central air. We truly enjoyed our stay. All the appliancies are new. I didn’t read the description carefully so didn’t know I was supposed to bring my own sheets and towels! Oops! Not a problem- sent hubby to buy a set at the Wallmart in Pocomoke. My suggestions would be to replace the mattresses on the queen beds with some that are a bit less hard, put black-out curtains on the front, upstairs bedroom windows (Chincoteague streetlights work very well! lol) and remove the rug from the kitchen-which is hard to vacuum. A couple of small scatter rugs, in front of the sink and the stove, would work better. These are very minor issues as we truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The view alone is well worth it.

Great location !

We had a very nice stay! Property was clean and the location was great. The screened in porch across from the bay was the best part. The property could use some overall maintenance, but it was good over all. Dishwasher was broken, which was annoying, but I would definitely recommend!

This property had everything we needed. Very charming and a great location. Very clean be sure to see the note to bring sheets, blankets and towels. We had such a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Chincoteague.

Holiday Happiness

My husband and I recently retired to Chincoteague Island and decided to host Christmas for our three adult children, their significant others and furry friends. We needed space as our little abode could not host all which is where Miss Agnes came in to the picture. Situated on South Main Street our children woke to the beauty of the Chesapeake and reminisced about their day as they watched the glorious sunsets. Miss Agnes was the place with the space that brought holiday happiness to our entire family! Looking forward to making more memories in the summer!!

The house is lovely. The rooms are large and the open kitchen dining area is welcoming. The front porch is comfortabel with great sunset views. The bed description said 1 queen and 2 fulls. It is 2 queens and 1 full which is wonderful except we brought sheets for the description. And the air conditioning is awesome. It was 90 the whole week and we were cool and comfortable. The house was dusted and vacuumed, the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was not as clean as I would have liked. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Quiet Vacation

This property was located in the quiet part of the town. Just across the street was the water and the screened in porch was a favorite spot for all of us to watch the sunset and the birds. The listing needs updated, the two main beds are queen beds. Thankfully my cousin had enough queen sheets to bring with her. The kitchen was spacious for several of us to cook in and the dinning room table was the center of activity for game nights. We would definitely stay in this home again for a family vacation.

Older Home - Listing Not Accurate

Although older, the house is fine with fairly new appliances. The listing should indicate that you must walk through one bedroom to get to another. There is no pier/private water access. You have to drive through the property next door to access the parking area. It is not easy to find in the dark. If you have a long or large vehicle parking there will be difficult.
