The space
Welcome to our charming 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment near Lake Michigan in Evanston, Illinois. As you enter, you'll be greeted by a cozy and inviting living space. The living room features comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Adjacent to the living room is a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, including a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

The bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a comfortable queen-sized bed, soft linens, and ample storage space for your belongings. The clean and well-maintained bathroom features a shower/tub combination, fresh towels, and essential toiletries.

The apartment is designed with your comfort in mind, offering air conditioning for those warm summer days and heating for cooler evenings. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment, ensuring you stay connected during your stay.

You will have full access to the entire apartment.

Other things to note
We do not have a designated spot but there is a free street parking available about a half block away from the apartment building. Please be sure to read all the street signs, tow zones, before parking to avoid tickets and tows

Please do not park in the rear of the building. Those parking spaces are paid for by tenants of the building and your car will be towed if you park there.

There is also a paid parking in Sheridan Square.

We also recommend using apps like SpotHero or ParkWhiz which can help you find convenient and affordable parking spots in the area.


**HOUSE RULES**


We want you to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay! To help keep the space safe, clean, and pleasant for everyone, please review and follow the house rules below. Failure to comply may result in cancellation or additional charges.

Shoes off, please. Kindly remove shoes upon entering the unit.

No smoking anywhere inside the unit or on the property. Smoking will result in immediate cancellation and a $200 damage fee.

No drugs, including marijuana.

No illegal activities anywhere on the property.

No parties or events.

No outside visitors.

No overnight guests without prior approval from the host.

Food storage: Please store all food in designated areas and do not leave food out to help prevent pests.

Kitchen use: Feel free to use the kitchen, but please clean up after yourself. Wash dishes, wipe counters, stove, and microwave. No dirty dishes left in the sink overnight.

Damages: If anything is broken or damaged, please let us know right away so we can arrange repair or replacement.

Checkout cleaning:
Please wash dishes, return moved furniture to its original place, and take out the trash before checkout.
The standard cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning. If the unit is left excessively dirty (dirty dishes, trash left throughout the unit, etc.), an additional cleaning fee of up to $100 may apply.

Towels & linens: Provided for your entire stay. If you need extras, please let us know in advance. A $50 fee applies to cover the cleaner’s trip. Paid laundry facilities are available in the building.

Lost keys: A $300 fee applies for lock and key replacement. Please note that lost keys cannot be replaced immediately, and you may temporarily lose access to the unit and building amenities.

Quiet hours: Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.

Late checkout: Checkout time is 11:00 AM. Late checkout without prior approval will incur a $50 fee, which covers the cleaner’s waiting time.

Beautiful, clean, remarkably quiet and peaceful. The host was very kind and responsive. Directions to access unit were precise and the pictures helped immensely. Beach access to Lake Michigan is one block away. I was there for a very busy graduation weekend so no downtime, maybe next time. Thanks again!!

Worst experience we have ever had with any rental across multiple platforms. Please ban these people from VRBO and any similar website.1) We arrived and followed the check in instructions exactly. However, the keys they provided did not work. We asked for assistance through the app and attempted to call multiple times. The owner was very slow to respond and not able to offer helpful solutions. Their only guess was that the door might have been jammed. Ultimately we were forced to book a hotel for that night. We were only able to reach someone by phone the following day. They directed us to a different set of keys which did work. They apologized that we were never told about the alternative keys. They also indicated they would refund us for the first night. No refund has been issued as of this review. 2) Bed was advertised as a queen bed but was only a full size bed. It was uncomfortable to the point I had to sleep on the couch and am still experiencing back pain.3) The tv did not work the entire stay.4) The most egregious issue was regarding their per policy. The listing said three times that pets are allowed. Specifically it said the rental allows one dog below 50 pounds. We took screenshots of the listing, as it existing when we booked and during our stay. The last night, the owners contacted us claiming they have a strict no pet policy. We sent screenshots proving this was a lie, and never heard back. More could be detailed here but there is a character limit.
