The kitchen was perfect! It was well-stocked with all necessary cookware and amenities. Very clean and a great layout for a family get together. It's in a safe, convenient neighborhood. It's about 4-5 blocks from the beautiful University of Chicago campus and about a mile to Lake Michigan. There are many restaurants and coffee shops in close proximity, as well as fitness options (Yoga Six and LA Fitness). It was such a great layout for a family setting. Our daughter was getting married, so we had family stay together in the house and it was absolutely perfect. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!

Beautiful House Near Campus

We were in town for a wedding on UChicago's campus and had a great stay here. The home is beautiful and spacious. The setup allows guests to have privacy with bathrooms in the majority of the bedrooms. Additionally it is walkable to many restaurants, campus and shops. I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hyde Park.

Unique property

This was a beautiful well appointed home with much unique artwork and well appointed furnishings. It was very welcoming. The area was very walkable to everything we needed and the outside area was very pleasant. The extra bedrooms and bathrooms made it very comfortable for our Sister group of six.

University Open House

Two grandmas, a mom and a daughter came to experience open house for The University of Chicago. This home was so nice as it was a close and safe walk to campus. We all had an extremely comfortable bedroom as well as our own bathroom. The neighborhood felt safe and had beautiful buildings to admire while we walked. We never felt like we lacked for anything.

Best VRBO I’ve rented, excellent location

We came to Chicago to tour colleges and see the city. This house was perfectly located for all our adventures. We walked everywhere, down to the U Chicago campus, over to the Museum of Science and Industry, back to Trader Joe’s and home to this gorgeous house that was both elegant and cozy. It had everything we needed to cook a quick dinner and have breakfast at home. Beds were cozy, bathrooms chic and sparkling. The host thought of everything- shampoo, conditioner, makeup towels, lotion, board games and fresh coffee!! Host was very attentive and helpful. The guide was excellent and gave us the hot tip to take the Metra Electric downtown which was so easy and affordable and perfect for our day in the city. We just walked down 53rd street to catch it and it dropped us right at the Art Institute- perfect! The neighborhood felt very safe walking, even at night. It was just the perfect perch for our four days of exploring. Highly recommend and we will definitely return if we are in Chicago again.

Perfect family getaway!

We recently stayed at this beautiful vacation rental house with our extended family. We could not have asked for a better experience!The house was incredibly spacious and well-designed, providing ample room for everyone to relax and enjoy their stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, comfortable and sparkling. The common spaces on the ground floor were perfect for gathering our group. We enjoyed our meals in the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware, dinner ware and supplies. The living room provided a hub for playing games each evening. (The house had a big stack of games!) The electric piano was very cool, and the fireplace made the room cozy on cool spring nights.The location was perfect. We loved exploring the nearby parks and museums, and the kids had a blast at the local playgrounds. The proximity to public transportation made getting around the city quite easy.The owners were incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. Their attention to detail and hospitality truly made our vacation memorable. We appreciated the contact and information in advance of our trip and their suggestions for activities and restaurants.Overall, we highly recommend this vacation rental house. It provided the perfect blend of relaxation, fun, and convenience, making our family getaway one to remember. We can't wait to return!5 stars!

I wish we came across this property 4 years ago when we dropped off our daughter at the UofC campus. Location is amazing, 7 minutes walk to the campus. The house is spacious and accommodates a large group of people. Very clean and what was really appreciated it was so well stocked - nice shampoos and lotions in all bathrooms, paper towels in the kitchen, a welcome bottle of bubbly wine from the hosts. The check-in and out process was also incredibly easy, and the hosts were very welcoming and responsive for all our requests. We booked it again for the graduation week-end and are really looking forward to coming back.

Lovely house in beautiful Hyde Park neighborhood

Our family of eight had a great time in Caryl's beautiful house in the heart of Hyde Park. The house was spacious and within easy walking distance of eateries and shopping opportunities but well situation in a quiet residential area with plenty of available parking. We really enjoyed the time and would stay again.
