    The Hayloft near Bourton-on-the-Water is a lovingly restored apartment located in the eaves of a Grade II listed barn conversion. Sleeping two guests, in one bedroom, with a separate bathroom, it is perfect for a romantic Cotswold getaway. Whilst retaining plenty of the barn's original features, this well thought out space has all the essentials for a short break in the Cotswolds. Located in the grounds of the owner's home in the charming village of Cold Aston, you are moments from well regarded Cotswold towns like Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

    Accommodation
    This one bedroom Cotswold holiday accommodation in Cold Aston is ideally suited for couples looking for a country retreat and the chance to explore the surrounding Cotswolds. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

    First Floor
    There is an external stone staircase leading to the first floor barn conversion
    In the entrance hall there is hanging space for your coats and storage for your muddy boots, along with a cupboard storing an iron and ironing board

    Kitchen
    A modern well-equipped kitchen with electric oven with grill and four-ring hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and cafetière
    A combined washing machine/tumble dryer is also located in the kitchen

    Bedroom (Sleeps 2)
    A couple of steps down lead you into the bedroom with king size bed, two bedside tables with drawers and lamps, built-in cupboards with hangers, chair and hairdryer

    Walk-in shower, loo and basin

    Living/dining room
    Exposed Cotswold stone and wooden beams, two two-seater sofas, coffee table, Freeview TV and DVD player and a selection of books, DVDs and board games
    Dining table which comfortably seats two guests

    There is a small dedicated patio with table and seating for two guests to use during your stay which overlooks the owners private garden

    The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant who is not yet walking (aged 2 or under). Please take consideration whilst booking as the layout, furnishings, and features of The Hayloft are best suited to guests over the age of 18 (some features could pose safety risks for infants and very young children)
    Bed linen and towels are provided - some bedding and cushions are feather filled. On request (1 week notice) all feather filled items can be removed and hypoallergenic bedding can be provided 
    Off street parking is available for up to 1 car
    1 travel cot and 1 baby bath are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

    The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
    No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

    Please note that The Hayloft is best suited to peaceful, family-style stays. Please take consideration whilst booking as the property is not appropriate for parties, hen or stag groups, or events of any kind

    Lovely cottage. Very peaceful. But a very quiet area and it was a shame the pub across the road was closed for refurbing under new management. Took a while to get a uber to go into bourton on the water. A bit far to walk. But the overall a lovely place and cottage. I would recommend

    Amazing converted barn

    We loved our mini getaway to the hayloft, the beds and sofa were extremely comfortable. The place was warm and the shower has no issues. The roof height did not bother us at all husband is 5ft11. The only flaw I would say is that the kitchen area didn't supply any basic condiments or tea there was only filtered coffee and when you've travelled 3 hours sometime all you need is a cuppa, (bring some basic supplies with you as nearest local shop is bourton on water. apart from this everything else was top form and a great location

    Amazing stay at The Hayloft

    We really enjoyed our stay at The Hayloft. It was well equipped and comfortable. It is a beautiful property, very clean with everything you should need. It was extremely hot when we were there and the windows had been opened and a fan left running to cool the property. It is a great location in a beautiful village.

    Super Stay in the Cotswolds

    The booking process, the accommodation and everything else was terrific. The whole booking process was easy to follow and full of useful information. The accommodation was excellent - clean, spacious with everything we needed including a washer/dryer combo in the kitchen. The sitting/dining area was very large and comfortable with plenty of room to keep suitcases out of the way. The bedroom was romantic but does have limited headroom at the sides but that was not an issue for us. Location of the property was easy to find and access was easy. The Plough Inn across the road is no longer open for food and drinks so you do need to drive to other locations for a pub meal - not an issue for us but worth noting.

    Great Stay at the Hayloft

    We stayed at the Hayloft for three nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The village of Cold Aston is lovely and a short drive to some of the popular tourist areas of the Cotswolds, like Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and The Slaughters. The property is gorgeous and the unit itself is beautifully renovated and very comfortable. It's well appointed with everything that we needed. We'd been traveling for over a month at that point, so the combo washer/dryer was a nice thing to have. We would definitely stay there again.

    Great stay in Cold Astin

    The location was excellent, very quiet and yet easily accessible via a short drive to all the villages. Bourton on the water was a 5 minute drive. All amenities were provided, the bed and the lounges were most comfortable and above all it was impeccably clean. Highly recommended. We loved it. Would love to stay again.

    We had a lovely stay in the Hayloft, it was a nice place for us to stay for 4 nights. It had everything we needed. Kitchen was wel equipped. WiFi was strong enough to make video calls without any problems. Location in the Cotswolds is quite central. Would recommend this place!

    Lovely stay

    We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It was very cosy and I felt we had everything we needed. The kitchen has everything that you could ever need to cook some breakfasts/meals and the bed was really comfortable. The location was ideal, there is a pub just opposite that prepares amazing food and it was only a 5 min drive to Bourton-on-the-water and we felt we could drive around the Cotswolds visiting lots of villages without having to drive long distances.
