Lloyd went above and beyond to make my stay special. I had a lovely stay. The space was spotless and beautifully decorated with fresh flowers from the garden which elevated the whole experience. Everything was cozy, comfortable and welcoming. Communication was quick and thoughtful. Lloyd had great recommendations for someone from out of town. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area and I would love to come back again. Thank you Lloyd and Jerry!
Lloyd and Jerryâs place was the perfect setting to relax snd enjoy our time on Cape Cod. Lloyd went above and beyond as a host: stocking many everyday things like milk and bagels, but also sweet treats made on the Cape. He was the perfect VRBO host who checked in with us a couple of times during our stay to see if mg we needed anything more. The location of this comfy suite was also perfect! It was quiet and peaceful. We were surrounded by beautiful hydrangea bushes, pine trees, and a nearby pond with abundant birdlife. It was a short drive to beachesâbay and seasideâas well as the quaint town of Chatham. We highly recommend this very well-kept, super-clean, cozy space!
Luxury large space for two with beautiful view and great location. Host provides generous snacks, fresh flowers and plenty of outdoor chairs, blankets a towels to use off property if needed.
This beautifully appointed property was perfect for us. We wanted a quiet place nestled in nature and thatâs exactly what we got! Lloyd, the owner, greeted us and pointed out the amenities. There was no kitchen, but thatâs okay, I didnât want to cook on vacation! But Lloyd left an abundance of snacks! There was a small fridge with yogurts, wine, cheese, juice and more. He gave us a bag of yummy breakfast pastries from a local bakery. The property was clean and well maintained. Outside was amazing. In the morning we would have our coffee on the patio and immerse ourselves in nature.
This studio is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Itâs very spacious, has a private entrance, and a dedicated place to park off the street. Lloyd (the property owner) and his adorable dog, Ernie, were wonderful. I was made to feel very welcome. Snacks (local pastries, fruit, yogurt, and more) and wine were there for my arrival. The house is at the end of the street next to the water so itâs very quiet. The hydrangeas were in full bloom right outside the windows of the studio. It was very easy to get to downtown Chatham, and Lloyd was happy to provide recommendations of places to go in the area. I would absolutely love to stay here again the next time I head to the Cape!
I cannot say enough good about this location. It was an elegant apartment (with outstanding artwork). Our host had thought of every detail to make us feel welcome and comfortable and he was available had we needed anything. Morning coffee on the outdoor patio , surrounded by blooming hydrangeas and a pond down below was as good as it gets! This is the best place we have ever stayed!
Lovely place to stay. The owner was very kind and generous with goodies he left for us. Even a nice bottle of wine. It was a nice location. The only reason I did not give it a 5 is we had a hard time finding it - no visible house numbers - we drove around for 20 minutes trying to locate. Secondly there was no hot tub as advertised. If it was there, it is not in good location. Would return for sure.
This was our second stay with Lloyd, and was just as lovely as the first. It is hard to describe the setting as it is not your typical inn or even B&B - more like a cottage in peaceful surroundings. Lloyd is the best host, and if you like bird-watching, the estuary right outside the door offers ample opportunities. We will continue to stay as long as Lloyd lets us!
I canât say enough about our stay. Lloyd is such a lovely person. He went above and beyond to make things special. We canât wait to return next year.
This was a perfect spot for us. Close to beaches and restaurants! The view from our sitting area was amazing. He put personal touches everywhere and had everything you could possibly need! He stocked the entire place with snacks and goodies. We had are own private entrance with parking.
My wife and I visited Chatham, MA recently. We are extremely happy we chose to stay at the Chatham Water View Retreat! Our host, Lloyd, was more than gracious. He filled us in on the best places to eat and visit. He supplied us with delicious breakfast goodies as well as snacks galore. The unit was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and a variety of artwork. We enjoyed coffee on the secluded patio that over looked a quiet saltwater estuary and wildlife refuge. Without a doubt we will return and we highly recommend the Chatham Water View Retreat.
We are now regulars at Lloydâs lovely studio. This was our 6th or 7th stay. There is so much to love here- quiet location at end of cul de sac and on an estuary. Osprey, egrets and other birds are in abundance. We especially love sitting on the patio at sunset, enjoying a glass of wine. Lloyd always has fresh cut peonies in the room when weâre visiting in June, an added bonus.
The Studio is very clean and has any amenity you could possibly need. Large bathroom with double sinks and nice shower. The location is awesome, a few miles from downtown Chatham and Chatham beaches. Also easy access to Rt 6 to head up to Wellfleet/Ptown. As others have said, the snacks and provisions are abundant, unlike any other vrbo weâve stayed at!
Perhaps best of all is Lloyd, the owner who lives upstairs. Such a gracious host and kind person. He is readily available if you have questions but not at all intrusive.
This Studio is a little slice of heaven. We look forward to our next visit!
This was a lovely rental. The space was very sophiscated with antique furnishings and beautifully painted walls. It was super clean. The space is a lot bigger then youâll see in the listing. It sits on an estuary with lovely birds, bunnies, chipmunks, and the occasional black kitty. Lloyd the owner lives above the unit and is so gracious, respectful, and sweet. The bathroom has a tiled walk in shower and a spacious soaking tub. Itâs a very quiet space with only the sounds of nature. I have to mention Ernie, the lovely little doggie that lives with Lloyd.
Very clean property in a country subdivision about 8 minute drive from Chatham. House owner Lloyd lives above walkout unit. He is a great host- very personable, generously provided wine, snacks, yogurt, fruit and some recommendations.
Easy access to roads to beaches and other villages.
Lloyd met us and showed us around, then gave us full privacy.
The rooms are larger than they appear and the kitchen area is more than adequate for breakfast. He left us a lot of snacks as well as healthy breakfast food.
It's situated so that you feel remote but it's actually a quick drive into Chatham.
We read in a previous review that the bed is hard so we brought our own mattress pad, which we did need.
Thank you for a good place to stay, Lloyd!
Lovely studio apartment tastefully decorated with a sweet host who helps with local info and provides lots of snacks and goodies. No kitchen per se or easy place to eat is the only drawback. But plenty to make up for it. Close to Chatham and easy access to the rest of the Cape.
Overall it was a great stay. I needed a brief peaceful getaway & this fit that perfectly. Loads of wildlife around, located on a dead end street next to conservation land. There were snacks and toiletries galore! There was even ground coffee, half and half, orange juice, fresh fruit, bagels & yogurt. I was very impressed with that. They only negatives I would mention are the bed had the hardest mattress I've ever tried to sleep on. Also, the TV was very small. My computer monitor at work is bigger. Otherwise, Lloyd was a dream to deal with and I would definitely consider staying there again.
My partner and I had a lovely stay at Lloydâs studio. It was spacious and in a great location! Plus the snacks were endless. The only issues we had was the AC didnât work very well and it was quite muggy. The power went out one night which didnât help. Additionally, there were a ton of flies inside of the studio which wasnât pleasant. Lloyd was so nice though that it made up for the minor issues.
Were at the property to Thursday to Sunday for a wedding and the property was great. Lloyd was a huge help with restaurants and things to see and the place was perfect.
