Great Location

This place was perfect for my large extended family of 13 (ages 7-76). It has everything you need. Tons of games for the kids. A really well appointed kitchen. Beautifully decorated and yet still comfortable. It took us a while to find the 6th room but no big deal. This was our first Christmas without Dad and this place gave us a wonderful opportunity to create some new memories. Two minor things:” 1. The Glass entry doors to the Master need a privacy shade and 2. A kettle would be great for us tea drinkers. We will be back.

Wonderful lake house for the family!

Our family of 11 (9 adults, 2 kids) just returned from a fun and relaxing family vacation at this home. We especially enjoyed the large, very well-stocked kitchen with a professional gas stove; the amazing master suite; the great family/bonus room upstairs that we used all the time, with a pool table, shuffleboard, arcade games, and a game table room with lots of good group games and puzzles; all of the outdoor water equipment available to use; and the nice flat backyard for games with a fire pit. It's in a great location, in a cove but very near large open water, so you don't have to go slowly for a long time in no wake zones. The house was super clean when we arrived (they even sent someone out to thoroughly clean the grill!), and management was super responsive. Highly recommend!

Amazing lake house stay

We had a BLAST at the house. We enjoyed the tubes, kayacks, sand toys and more. Everything was wonderful for our family of all ages. We had such a great trip at your house. The kids asked to stay there again. The only thing we noticed was a bunch of broken pieces of glass in the little tv room on the bottom of the floor. My one year old was running around and luckily he did not step in it but my husband did. Please let me know if you would like to see pictures.

Family Thanksgiving

The home is absolutely beautiful. We had a family Thanksgiving in the home and the space was perfect for the parents and kids of all ages. We loved the convenience of the kayaks, all the fun games stocked in the game room, the large, spacious and extremely well equipped kitchen. We would love to come back again and spend more time here, particularly in the summer as the weather was a bit too cold to swim. The property manager was extremely communicative and responsive. Highly recommend the home!

Summer '23 Ohio to LKN Surf Vacay

Large group of adults and kids easily accommodated. Great location in Westport located in no wake cove with deep water all around the dock. Easily docked two wakeboats with ease and minutes from areas to enjoy watersports. Bunk room over garage is awesome for segregating kids and they had a blast with this space. Plenty of stores nearby for supplies and even tried out some local gyms.

Perfect family Lake vacation

What a wonderful stay at Lake Shore Getaway! Arriving to a clean rental home is always expected but to arrive with plenty of paper products, water, a bottle of wine and flowers was warm welcomed. This home was purchased a few years ago and the renovations were lovely! We have been renting homes for several years now and having a well stocked kitchen is key when traveling with a large family. This kitchen surpassed all expectations. The stove was amazing and there was nothing there I didn’t need or use! Beautifully appointed and so relaxing, we will surely rent this home again! Thank you for everything! Btw, the dock is perfect, we had a boat rental delivered and jet ski’s and there was a ramp for that which was great. In the garbage next to the cottage, we’re paddle boards, a wake board, lake water mat and more! You won’t be board that’s for sure! And don’t forget to bring your fishing rod
 the boys caught plenty of catfish and bass just off the dock in the evenings!

AMAZING LAKE STAY

We had the best time at this house! It was very clean upon arrival and this house is stocked with everything you need for your stay. Fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, paddleboards and kayaks, water toys, the list goes on!! Absolutely loved this property.

Perfect for Family Reunion with Children

The house is ideally set up for multiple families with children. Spacious setting, clean and open kitchen/dining area with numerous bedrooms. Large yard with direct water access. We especially appreciate the large number of beach towels and dining ware--as kids/families go through them quickly. The only part that could have been better is the in-town amenities. Basic needs are right nearby but the local towns lack great restaurants/coffee shops. It didn't matter that much because you never wanted to leave the property!

Wonderful stay, Beautiful remodeled kitchen

We enjoyed a large family gathering with 9 adults and 4 children. Never felt cramped. The boathouse had a floating mat plus the kayaks, SUPs, and a few inflatable tubes and other toys. The remodeled kitchen is great, large gas stove, plenty of counter space with a long table that easily fit 9 adults. We did have one problem with a doorknob upstairs but didn't need it to be fixed right away and the management company was very responsive to messages.

Beautiful lake setting

We were in Lake Norman for a wedding/family reunion. While the property is beautiful and the house certainly large enough, it does need some more upgrading. The main house has beauty in its unique architecture but the kitchen is outdated, small, and lacks plentiful supplies needed for the large groups this house allows for. The dining room and bedrooms were all beautiful but all bathrooms need updating. The furniture and beds were for the most part very comfortable. The room above the garage is very spacious and a great little respite from the main home for a family to have some privacy. The boat house, although beautiful does have some issues that need to be addressed, If you’d like to contact me directly to discuss the issue that would be appreciated. Lastly there were large bugs outside the property and we saw one inside.. it should be mentioned to potential renters what these bugs are prior to staying. I hate to see a beautiful home go under appreciated for some things that can be fixed. I hope to see improvements in this beautiful home in the future. Thank you!

Wonderful vacation!

This newly renovated house was beautifully decorated, fully stocked and was very spacious. The teenagers enjoyed staying in the large room over the garage, away from the adults and young children that were up early in the main house. The floating water mat was a bonus we were not expecting and the kids loved it! We also enjoyed the many other amenities-the paddle boards, kayaks, pool table, ping pong table, arcade games, poker table and board games. The rental company responded quickly when we noticed a paddle was broken for one of the paddle boards and brought us a new paddle. We also appreciated how easy it was to rent a boat through the rental company and have it delivered to the house, with a tube and rope on board. The Smart TVs were also very nice! We had a wonderful vacation in this gorgeous home and I look forward to coming back!

Ma’s 80th Birthday Family Gathering

Fourteen family members from 5 cities in 3 states from CA to SC came to celebrate “Ma’s” 80th birthday. This beautiful lake house was perfect! It is comfortable & homey and had tons of beds & bedrooms to accommodate the variety of family groups we had. We ate all meals on the outside deck with a view of the lake. We also decided to rent a pontoon boat from the many services offered by the management company and we had a blast! Southern Charm is top notch for service, answering questions, getting anything you need, etc
 They were totally on top of things from the minute I made the reservation until we checked out! Every company could take a lesson in customer service from them! Great job! Sierra was who I spoke with several times so kudos to her and the whole crew!
