This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Very cool house walkable to King Street and French Quarter. Plenty of room for four adults. Upon arrival the AC in the attic bedrooms wasn’t functioning properly. It was late on a Friday. The management responded and said someone would be out asap the next morning. They communicated well and by 1030 we had a window unit in that room, making it comfortable until a full HVAC tech would remedy the issue. Things happen, this team handled it flawlessly. I do wish we had known the bar on the corner uses the trash right outside the kitchen window. We were a little surprised a couple of times by folks on the driveway, right beside the kitchen window. I was washing dishes at midnight and was startled to be looking at two strangers right in front of me. Not a problem but wish we’d known to expect that. You do hear the sound from the bar, the house has white noise machines and it shuts down by 11 or midnight. Folks were super nice in the bar and it was a fun addition to the house.

Charleston 4 bedroom

We rented this property because it was a four bedroom. The location was excellent but the two bedrooms on the third floor have no bathrooms or closet the other bathrooms. There was one good size bathroom the others were very tiny. There’s a bar next-door and on the weekends and Wednesday night, it is right below you and it gets noisy

Wonderful!

We had a great stay in Charleston! The apartment was spacious, with plenty of room for six adults. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, but within 20-30 minutes walking distance of many Charleston sites. I would definitely stay here again!

Just perfect!

We had three couples who wanted to park our cars and enjoy Charleston! First, the house is charming! Loved everything about it. Second, the walk-ability factor was perfect! We were able to quickly walk to all the fun. The hidden surprise restaurants and businesses were amazing! Finally, we loved the little bar attached to the place! What an awesome hidden treasure with a welcoming and fun atmosphere!

Charming home and convenient location

We stayed here for a girls weekend in Charleston and were impressed with the comfort, spacious rooms and living area, and the walking proximity to all of Charleston’s activities. The home has all of the essentials and check-in/check-out was easy. The quaint neighborhood minibar is attached to the building so there is some noise in the evening but it closes early and was not disruptive for us at all. We would definitely stay again!

The perfect pivot

My family and I had an excellent experience with this host and home! When I needed to find a first-floor bedroom unit for my elderly grandmother, they were incredibly helpful in locating the perfect home for us in the heart of Charleston. Our original home was one of their bigger multi- floor homes that would have been great too, but we really needed a 1st floor bedroom. The transition was seamless, and the new home itself was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near all the places we wanted to be. Whenever we had minor issues or questions —like the dryer malfunctioning and coffee pot mishap—the host responded promptly and took care of everything right away. Communication was always clear, timely, and very friendly. I highly recommend this host, this home and their other properties for anyone looking for a stress-free stay in well-cared-for property. Thank you for making our time here so enjoyable!

Great place

This historical home for sure has some stories to tell! The home is beautiful, well maintained and clean. Its location is great and on a fairly quiet street. Walkable to many destinations and easy to grab an uber to go explore. Communication with the property manager was smooth. They were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended but don’t put the people with the biggest suitcase on the top floor.

Beware of the "adjacent" wine bar

"About this Property" states that "On weekends there may be live acoustic music + ambient noise until 10pm." The reality was on weekends there will definitely be a very loud singer with a guitar plugged into an amplifier playing "Friends in Low Places" to a sing along crowd until MIDNIGHT. Very frustrating night for our 75 year old aunt who was sleeping (or attempting to) in the bedroom right above!!! No noise machine in the world could have drowned it out. Otherwise, it was great! Easy check in experience. Maybe consider staying during the week but I wound NEVER book this again on a weekend!

September Getaway

This is a unique, historic home; clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the convenient, central location. We had easy access to all the main roads and downtown Charleston, although it was a bit far to walk to the historical spots. We appreciated the living room space for gathering and watching TV in the evening. It was helpful having a large refrigerator and kitchen space.
