The Emma McCall House at 174 Unit #3 This beautiful 4 bed, 4 bath apartment has natural light, full length piazza embraces Charleston’s rich history just one block from King St. Recognized with five Carolopolis Awards and the SC Governor’s Award for Historic Restoration, this retreat is perfect for families or groups seeking an authentic Charleston experience.

Saint Philip Square is an award-winning collection of 6 historic buildings meticulously curated to enhance your stay in Charleston. “M3” is one of seventeen unique rentals. The grounds feature outdoor garden areas with fountains, dining areas, fire tables and barbecues. In the evenings, this oasis sparkles with outdoor lighting, making it the perfect place for nightcaps after a day of exploring.

This is not a typical short-term rental; it is not a renovated “dependency” or a newly constructed unit in an old neighborhood, nor is it situated on a tiny lot in a questionable or remote area. The old hardwood floors, tall ceilings, standing seam copper roof, copper guttering, original moldings, plasterwork, old glass windows, and solid panel doors exude a special warmth, character, and charm that is very difficult to achieve in new construction. This is the real deal!

*If needing early check-in or late check-out please DO NOT ask until the day before check-in at earliest due possible last minute rentals. If you absolutely NEED it, I would suggest renting the night prior*

*Pet Policy: Only Small Pets under 25 pounds (maximum of 2) allowed with prior written approval ($200 non-refundable fee per pet).Must have authorization prior to reservation.*

The house is perfectly located. It is beautifully decorated and there’s a nice sitting area in the back. It’s a common area for all the houses. It is a bit smaller than the pictures but honestly, it was so nice. We didn’t even care you were right next to King! Street very convenient.

We had a girls trip with five best friends, and this place was absolutely perfect for us. They literally thought of everything - from extra batteries to dishwasher and laundry pods, plus both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig (thankfully, I’m a drip-coffee person, so that made my morning!).The home was cozy, spotless, and so well designed. Every inch of space was utilized efficiently, yet it still felt warm and charming. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, the showers and tile work were beautiful, and the decor had such thoughtful touches throughout.This isn’t where you go for “luxury,” but it truly feels special - clean, comfortable, and inviting. The location was great, the home had everything we needed, and we all agreed: it’ll be hard to find another rental that meets this standard. The bar is officially set high! Highly recommend and would 100% stay again.

Such a wonderful place and EXCELLENT location!!! Steps away from king street shopping and bars. The property was gorgeous and the place was so clean and comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough! We also used the free access to the Wonderer and had such a fun pool day, I definitely recommend!

Oasis, clean, perfect set up for our group

Outside area is beautiful, nice oasis in summer heat. Four bathrooms help with gettimg ready in morning. Very well stocked kitchen and baths. Quick walk to free dash trolly, ice cream and bagels! We loved our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and modern with a lovely old house feel. Plenty of dishes. The property as well lighted. Would definitely stay here again. Only comment, the upstairs bedroom/bath with the twin beds could use a mirror. Aside from that, perfect!

Friends Weekend in New Orleans

Our stay at 3M worked beautifully for our group of 7 women! The location is convenient to the historic district, great restaurants and shopping. It is within a 15-30 minute walk of most things you would want to see. But, good parking was available for cars if you were driving. The outside common areas provided great tables and firepit areas. It was very clean, well-appointed, cutely decorated and had good amenities. Jamie, the agent, did a good job ommunicating with us. The upstairs of 3M is a loft-style slanted roof that I found charming and cozy, but anyone over 6ft might want to sleep in one of the downstairs bedrooms.

Fantastic Week with New College Grads

A wonderful stay with hassle free parking, walkable to many restaurants and cocktail bars, and easy drive to larger grocery stores. The wraparound porch on this upper unit is a lovely place to have morning coffee and catch the breeze in true Charleston style. Also affords a good deal of privacy for hanging out. Well-appointed kitchen is inviting, and there are plenty of extra bathrooms for the “going out” set to get ready (bathrooms are small, but having four of them is a significant convenience). Highly recommend for anyone except those who may have trouble navigating a couple of sets of stairs to get inside. There’s a downstairs unit as well!

As stated, the house was charming and very clean. The only thing I must mention is the size of the bedrooms. They were functional but quite small. The living room and kitchen were perfect for our size of 8 adults. We all loved the balcony! Would definitely recommend this property. Location was very good!

Charleston Adventure

This house was amazing and more than enough room for our group of 5. We loved the mix of historic details and upscale dĂ©cor, the living/kitchen area and spending time with coffee and then evening cocktails on the piazza. This home comes with everything you need and is the most well stocked rental we’ve ever had. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the lux linens and towels. The gardens and common area are beautiful and the off street parking for two vehicles was a huge plus. We were able to easily walk to King Street to enjoy rooftop bars and amazing dining while other “to do” attractions were a short car ride away. There was a fair amount of street noise at night on the weekend but that’s to be expected in this part of town and the owners provide sound machines in each bedroom. We would definitely rent this home again!

Great getaway

This house was amazing! There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The porch was our general hang out area each morning for coffee. There were amazing local bars and restaurants all within a short 5 minute walk. It was nice to even explore Market street by foot. About 1.3 miles so a nice walk to enjoy the sceneries. The shareplace was excellent right by the house. This truly was a great vacation for us experiencing both the great things in Charleston and then a 20 minute drive over to Isle of Palm if you wanted some time at the beach.

Great Wedding weekend

Our family came into town to celebrate our nieces wedding. The house was perfect for our family with a great layout and sufficient bathrooms. It was also so convenient to walk to King Street. We loved hanging out on the balcony too. It’s a beautiful home.
